It's got to the pint where my shop is sold out of not only ammo, but their entire inventory of guns as well. He has to close for 2 weeks to resupply

I'm close to the same way

I already ran a pretty small inventory with maybe 100 guns in stock at any given time...I haven't been able to replace many of the guns I've sold in the last week and ammo is out of the question

We have orders in all over the place but shipping times are extended and availability with distributors has dwindled

I hope what you made in sales is enough to carry you over until you can resupply. Hard times for small shops.

    I'm not worried

No employees to pay, me and 2 partners run the shop and each of us have a full time gig that pays the bills and no bank loans

Started off a year and a half ago with $7500 and 12 guns from our personal collections and we do $300k in sales a year

    Same here oddly enough.

I remember though what it was like before so I must have been on the right track by getting it into gear back then!

My local gun shop is out of 5.56, and only has steel 9mm rounds @ 2 boxes per customer. I do need ammo though :eek2:

i hadnt stopped for a second to think about the ammo shortages. I didnt get to shoot any matches last season so im all stocked up, but between ammo shortages and toilet paper shortages it seems like people must be getting ready to shoot the shit.

Organizing= Telling significant other you need to buy more because older ammo is old and doesn’t work.

    Been using ammoseek for years..

When this whole Covid-19 thing started my wife said "maybe we should buy some ammo.."

So I opened the footlocker and showed her.. Then I showed her the safe. Then I showed her the stuff that wouldn't fit in the footlocker and the safe. We good.

The way I see it they're still going to show up looking for your lost guns and ammo, if it ever comes to that. They're pretty good at finding sub-aquatic firearms and ammo.

"I lost it in a boat accident" is the same as saying "I have a bunch of guns and ammo I don't want the government to know about, and I think this is clever enough to fool the NSA.."

    It's not. =(

Good luck to you too, brother! It shouldn't be something we have to hide.

I have to agree. That just encourages more questions and restrictions. The less they know the better. Just assure them they're in good hands -- The Good Lord has it under control!

I'm fortunate enough to have a wife that trusts and supports me - so long as I'm not clearing out our savings accounts and the mortgage gets paid. In my situation transparency is the best policy.
