Hi - Sounds like a great deal to me. I am in the market as well. Which dealership/town is this? If close enough I'll drive to get one!

OP's first post says it is 4WD.
With the other options that she also has the MSRP seems in line.

That's a pretty good deal; in March 2020 I picked up a 2020 CrewMax, SR5 with TRD Offroad Package, bunch of options, for $43.5K OTD ($41.7K + $1800 taxes), plus some extras (lifetime engine warranty, 4 years of 'maintenance' - tire rotation/oil changes and such).

Haha nothing like friendly peer pressure!
In all seriousness, prices are crazy in NY. If OP can let us know which dealer has good deals AFTER SHE GETS HERS, that would be helpful!

I did it! Got the red. I actually ended up getting it from another dealership because the one I initially negotiated with no longer had the one I wanted.

Crewmax 4x4 with SR5 Upgrade and TSS Off-Road Black package.

    Advertised price: $49,4××
    Their initial offer: $45,000

I got them to give me $3,100 discount on top of the $3000 and $1500 rebates. So total discount of $7,600.

The final price: $41,8xx + taxes, title, and fees.

    I'm in Houston. 20200713_180717-01.jpg 20200713_195323.jpg

Now how to remove the factory installed (i think) sticker^^^^^ :frusty:

I'm in Houston. A few dealerships here are being generous with dealer discounts on top of the rebates.

    TEXAS!

nooooo! dont do that (remove sticker)... lol

i posted in your other thread. i wished i had not removed my greatest state of all the states "stamp" on the back glass. take a credit card, work that air bubble out, and call it a day.

if you must, a scraper w/ a razor blade and a shot of windex will have it gone quick. (wished i hadn't removed mine though)

THAT IS A GREAT LOOKING PICKUP!

    welcome (again) from houston!

what dealership did you end up purchasing from?

i drove to corpus to get my perfect T. can't believe it's been almost 2 years.

Thank you! I decided to keep the sticker. I love having a truck that's made in the USA, madein TEXAS.

Bought it from Fred Haas World. Although I got a good deal, I don't recommend them. They are super shady. They said they could offer me lower APR with TFS. In the end, they couldn't offer me a lower APR than what I already have pre-approved and the Finance Manager (Todd Bagley) pushed so hard on the Platinum warranty. He tried multiple times to scam me. Good thing I had the pre-approval to compare the monthly payment he was showing me.

It was astounding to see how he tried to convince me his numbers were right when the APR's were the same (his and my bank) but the monthly payment he was offering was $146 more than my preapproved loan. I tried to calculate with an online calculator while I was sitting in front of him and his numbers added up to 10.12% APR. I crunch big data for a living and he could see that in my credit application yet he thought he could scam me. In the end, he got frustrated that he couldn't sell me the Platinum warranty. I told him I could always decide whether to get it before ny 3 year warranty is up. And he said, "no, once you walk out of here you can no longer buy it". I knew that was a lie so I didn't let him bully me. Then he said what if you get into an accident driving out of here, you'll be 8 grand in the hole - Platinum pays for GAP." I just said, "fine, I'll take my chances. And besides I already have GAP insurance with my insurance provider." He didn't even congratulate me on the new car. He just said done, your car is outside.

It kinda left a bad taste in my mouth but I'm glad I got a decent deal and that I showed him what it's like to lose.

Anyway, thanks for the space to vent. Lol. I feel better.

    TEXAS!

vent away... lot's of people on here have to vent every once in a while.

fortunately, most are NOT venting about mechanical issues (unlike forums for the big 3). venting about too much chrome seems to be very popular around here. :annoyed: i'll take that over mechanical issues ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! (for the record, i think the chrome looks great on several colors, red being one of them)

    congrats again!
glad you decided to keep the sticker. wished i had done the same.

THE worst part with us also. We had great trade in and 10k check, still with hard sell on everything. Just gritted my teeth and said no to all the add ons. Didn't care about apr cause was going to Credit Union on monday for the Tundra and wifes Prius got 0% as part of the deal. I ended up getting 2.9% and just left there cause paid off that same year. They are the the kind of people that can push someone onto something like this and still sleep at night.

This here is why I hate buying cars. They can take a really fun experience of finding the car you like, negotiating a fair price and then “send you to finance” and completely ruin the experience. Ever wonder why they make you wait “to go to the finance office”? I think because they’re rehearsing their scripts.

I had one good experience however when I bought my 4Runner. Got a great price, great trade in, salesman worked the numbers and I was in and out of the finance office in 5 minutes. No pushy bullying - just sign this and sign that and congrats on your new vehicle!

This has got to be a joke? 21.9% APR? $1030/mo on a $41k loan??? I could use a credit card and do better! Who ever sold that loan needs to go to jail.
