I went through this game a few times Tundra for FJ and back and forth... finally I ended up with BOTH. I never lost money on my FJ trade ins. I most recently had my FJ and Tacoma and that was too much crossover for my liking. If you are a car dude, get the car and save for a new Tundra later. I decided to pick up a new Tundra because I love them (my 4th) and I was not "in love" with my Taco.

    Regardless, GOOD LUCK.

I agree with your sentiment, but I think you meant to quote the OP.

Is the M4 a manual? If so, keep it for sure.

I vote STi. Sounds like a lot of vehicles could replace your Tundra if you don't need the bed, like a Sequoia or even older LX/LC. The STi is a dying breed, so it will be much harder to find a replacement for it in the future.

I agree!!! I forgot to mention I went back and forth with my Tundra/FJ dilemma. My first FJ was MT and my 2nd was AT and then I bought the exact 2008 MT FJ color, etc. as my first FJ. DO NOT LOOK BACK! MT's are a dying breed. I also had several type II VW Buses all pre '67 and I can't even touch those today! Way too much $$$. (I even had a type II walk through 12v 21 window deluxe... now I am sad... not in great shape but a ton of potential... the wife regrets making me get rid of that one)

Keep the tundra, you'll use it more with the dog and new kid on the way. Driving the STI everyday will get old pretty quick, plus you have the M4 for a fun car.

I didn't read all the post buy my buddy has a Subura WRX which he traded for a Honda Civic Type R. The Honda is so much more refined and just much funner to drive. I suggest you take a Type R out for a test drive.

i traded my STI for a Tundra in 2015...i still miss that car but the Tundra has been very good to me. im sure that STI wouldve been a pain to do any major maintenance to tho. that engine bay was extremely tight and sideways due to the Boxer engine.

I’d keep the Tundra…last year of the V8 vs last year of the 2.5 is a wash…both have been around as long as one another. The STI is fun, but short lived (can go from light to light) It can’t take you to near the places you can go in a truck, and it’s really only fun to drive at higher rpm. I’ve owned both, and have an Infiniti g35 coupe as my daily/fun sports car. You already have a sports car-so seems redundant. I do miss my STI from a fun car standpoint, but when I think of all the practical applications my Tundra provides and the additional places I can go, it is a no brainer. My STI was highly modified too (over $10k in engine performance mods/tuning), limited trim w/spoiler delete, cosworth fuel rails, injectors, fuel pump, bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, radiator, Cobb exhaust, tuned to put down 500hp on E85, stereo upgrades, etc. Stock configuration isn’t nearly the impressive car it was a decade ago either—lots of others have caught up. Owned 2 WRX 2.5’s as well…they actually were more fun as a daily with a 5 speed versus 6 speed to drive. Also, gets old (maybe I’m just old? :monocle:) with people always wanting to try and race you…my wife hated driving the car for this reason and being a passenger with our kids when we were out. Attracts every douche on the road

I'm looking at 6mt's for my almost 16yr old kid and Subarus are on the list. Crosstreks are interesting to me. But so are GTIs, Velostars and Mazda 3s.

No matter which one you pick:
