Do they really need to be big? I sort of like the fact that these would take up less space but I have no experience with products like this.

I honestly have no idea, but picking these up all I could think was "there's no way this is enough for my truck".
The ARB booth had Tred Pros, and those are considerably more beefy!

No experience sorry. Almost identical to Maxtrax and creator supposedly has past ties with Maxtrax.

I think i can answer for @Grey Wolf ....yes, one is enough. I think people are getting multiple for multiple vehicles or extras in case one breaks.

I'm getting 2 sets because I also tow an off road camping trailer and if i do get stuck... 4 wheels with traction would help get em out. Plus having a back up is always nice to have peace of mind.

Bought a pair of Smitty's and the first time I used them in the snow, one of them broke. Called Smitty and they wanted original receipt to replace and quite frankly I haven't done it cause I can't find the receipt. Seems like a way to make it harder on me to get it replaced so I won't. Like a percentage type deal. The things have their name all over em so it's not like I am trying to return something I made. Wasn't impressed with the breaking part or the added difficulty in a return. Next set will be MaxTrax.

Best I can find about the Rampage Grip Tracks is quite good as long as you never get your truck stuck. Might work getting a Prius unstuck at the miniature golf course.

Yep, MaxTrax are expensive, but after extensive research I just bought 1 pair, and will probably purchase a second. I'm retired and don't have unlimited funds, but don't want to skimp on recovery gear. Having said that, I'd quickly buy a pair of these, if I can find reviews that they work.
