That did surprisingly well! I carry blocks of wood for jacking, that's the only test there that the bull kinda was hurt by. I think they're probably right about not leaving them in the sun, but who would do that for extended periods of time? Looks like a decent option.

I agree. This is a good alternative for a budget minded person.

Personally, I’m not sure which way I would purchase. I’ve always been on the mindset “buy once, cry once.” Then again, I have only maybe needed something like this a couple times in my life, and needed up getting out on my own anyway.

Guess this all depends on where you go and if you’re alone a lot.

My crew splits up tool, tire, parts duties the best we can and have similar builds to assist in this goal.
For instance, most of us have U-joints on hand, spare axle shafts back at the tow rigs, etc. What we share are:
    Winch duties (all have winches)
    Mini spool gun
    Air sources
    Patch/plug kits
    Electric drills/tools

They are quite nifty and don't cost an arm and leg. Was impressed with the YouTube vid. $119 a pair not bad at all.

I'm waiting to pull the trigger on tred pros. Lifetime warranty if they break. Tons of great reviews on em. If one breaks, new one sent immediately to replace.

Unless I'm looking at the wrong thing it looks like the Tred Pros are almost as much as maxtrax. Why wouldn't you go with the proven one's? Just curious.

Tred pro ($266 on Amazon and lifetime replacement) vs maxtrax ($340 on amazon).

The quality is much better than the knock-offs and the competition. They are PROVEN and tested for years in the harshest conditions. I'm considering upgrading to the new Xtreme model

MAXTRAX has saved my butt multiple times and is much cheaper than a tow ;)

Any idea how big these are when folded up for storage? I wonder if they will fit in my swing-out storage box. If so, I’m pulling the trigger.

I have a pair of the X-BULL's as well. Have not really put through paces though as use them on 4Runner and have yet to get stuck (yay ATRAC).

I think a problem with trying to compare treds vs max comes from the earlier versions of treds. Not a lot of comparisons use the pro model, which from that video looks very solid.

When funds are freed up I might take a chance on tred pros.

SWEET! I actually have them in my Amazon cart right now, so I’ll hold off until I hear from you. THANKS!
For informational purposes, a pair of them on amazon is $119.00
Thank you for looking into this!

I have X-Bull traction boards that I've used multiple times. One day I used them probably about 50-70 times trying to reverse up hill in some slick mud ruts with 5 tow straps, 100ft rope and come-along with a long chain. I'll buy them again if I every need to. My avatar is with the X-Bull too.

Yup. I agree fully....with any public review setting.
I've learned throughout my career a dissatisfied customer is more inclined to share their poor experience with the world long before the content customer thinks to themselves... "this went exactly as advertised, I got what I paid for. I'll tell the world"
