They did not snap a few wire clips together so I did not see my temperature display or the cruise set and set to display on my instrument cluster. Almost killed ourselves going 95mph off a clip setting cruise. One Saturday. Then after riding in my friends, I noticed that half of lights on my dash did not work, clipped more wires together. Second Saturday. My back bumper had a flapping sound when doing 60mph+ from the plastic on the rear bumper not set into place because of the metal clips improperly installed. Third Saturday. Stereo issues, no sound, frozen screen, no AM/FM bluetooth, Satellite, won't pair, no clock, no volume, frozen display when playing music, no navigation and the warranty won't cover it so far. Fourth Saturday. Dash is getting worse, they won't fix it. The list just keeps getting longer.

I am totally addicted to Tundra Life now!
Sorry for this mishap. Its a Toyota Tundra and the only people eating crow are the ones who dont own one! These trucks are the shit. Anyone who laughs at you laugh back hardcore my friend. Know your Tundra will out last, be worth more in 5 years, will sell hands down better and faster than theirs and wont be Found On Road Dead. Oh and cant be stolen with a screwdriver or channel locks. Yeah be proud!! Its just 1 Sunday compared to months and months and thousands lost your friends face in the future.

Any vehicle that is the first year of that generation will typically have some gremlins that have to be addressed.

Not to bash on any particular manufacturers, but there are a couple that still havent fixed serious issues throughout their last couple generations of trucks. They just said "screw it, let some aftermarket folks figure it out".

Toyota has a good track record for addressing and fixing serious problems that their vehicles have had, and they tend to have the fix before the next generation of that model is released.

All makes and models have issues when they are a new version/model. All of them. The difference is how long (if ever) it takes to have the solution available and applied.

Good call! Most Fisher Price toys are made there now. He's going to have a hell of a time with Warranty work being done now that Toys R Us is shut down.

While slightly better than the 2G, the 3G transmissions were still fragile. I had my 2006 from new, til the transmission started going out again (2nd time). Finally decided it was time for a Tundra.

@Silv333, dont engage Elk Hunter for fixes. Get your truck fixed, but that dude is gnarly. It takes about 2 minutes and 65 mailboxes worth of reading in his thread to realize something is wrong.

Any word on the cause of your problem?

I had some rats chew some wires on an old truck, cause all kinds of weird stuff. It can be a pain to track down.

Hopefully its an easy fix. My 15 F150 went to the shop the very next day I drove it off the lot as half the rear window defrost did not work. They kept the truck for a week while they argued with Ford about the issue and finally Ford broke down and shipped another rear window. That was the first of about 10 issues that happened within the first 35k and why I have a tundra now. Good luck
