Are you saying the DRL wire to the ignition or the factory DRL that can be disconnected behind the dash with the gray wire? I have the gray wire disconnected and the startup sequence still works. Matter of fact, when my PKE unlocks the doors either by PKE or remote the light bar flashes as well. BTW, I stacked codes and they still sent me the right version ($281 shipped:). Also, the sequence is fast, so if you are starting the truck and running out there, you will be missing it. Have someone else look.

I meant the entire harness that comes with the headlights. I did not hook any of it up, just the bulbs

Yes, that has to be hooked into the ignition fuse to make the sequence work.

Dang, I’m sorry to hear man. I was able to get $100 and it seems they will let you do at least the $40 now. Time will tell, but still a good deal just $40 off. So far customer service and shipping was on point.

I just ordered a set of the black PRO's for my 2008 CM. Excited to get them installed! Totally modernizes the look of the front end (along with the Rock Warrior grill update I have planned). I can confirm that discount code stacking is not a thing any longer - I could only use one of the discount codes mentioned above. Any of them worked, but entering a new one replaced the previous one without any stacking.

Also went with the Headlight Revolution H7 V.4 LED bulbs recommended above.

How have the HR LED bulbs held up being sealed in the housing? I’ve been thinking about them but worried the fan would eventually only circulate hot air or draw in moist air as the headlight cooled after turning off. It also sounds like you had to trim the back of the round covers to get the LEDs to fit. Do you feel the fan is restricted? Thanks.

I have the alpharex pro on 2007 tundra but I modified to use Headlight Revolution LED bulbs which look amazing but I didn’t cover the dust/water cap after the mod. I drove through the car wash once and now they don’t work. The DRLs and side marker LED’s do not turn on but the low beams and amber driving lights work. Does anyone know if I can have them fixed or a place that can modify them to get the DRLs working?
Help me Tundra guys your my only hope!

When I emailed them about my issue, they asked that I text the tech POC at +1 (626) 841-1965. They texted me back pretty quick.

Curious, why did you not reinstall the caps?

I was in a hurry going on road trip and I had to cut a hole in the cover for the led fan that stuck out as well as the wiring. Was going to make an add on cap and seal the whole thing up but it slipped my mind. Keep them sealed everyone.

Yes. The light output and color are amazing. They match the high beams perfectly.

So HID's have to cut/drill a whole for ballast wiring.
LED's may or may not fit. Anyone know how much room is inside the cap?

No room. I had to cut a huge hole for fan to stick out. I was going to add a spray paint cap and silicone it all up but I didn’t and water got in an fried the DRLs and side marker LED’s

This is why I went with the race vision halogen bulbs. I'm sure they could be brighter, but they have been trouble free for me so far.IMG_9730.jpgIMG_7885.jpg

Those do look great. You guys are gonna get me divorced if I keep reading these threads. :) QQ for you guys: regarding the AlphaRex, what's the difference between the "Black" and the "Jet Black" versions?

Black is apparently more of a flat "abs plastic" look while the jet black is a shiny black. Jet black is supposed to look more "modern."

The LED's are sealed in the housing. The caps took very little modification with a utility knife to clear the V.4's and they seal up tight. There is also a gap to the rear of the led and space around the perimeter of the fan except the one side I had to modify the cap on. HR warranties them for 2 years and they have a crazy high temp rating. There is quite a bit of empty space in the housing or air circulation. I can see it getting hot in a closed system, especially when it is still 105 at 11pm in Phoenix, but time will tell.
Tip: Install the LED's before putting the headlights in. There is very little clearance behind them. Also, I dropped the entire LED leads and "ballast" into the housing for super clean install.

If I was spending that kind of coin, you should definitely check out the Morimotos as well. I went with jet black. There are close ups showing the difference on the Alpharex website.

I was going to suggest the same, at $280 which I payed I am happy with them. I'd be disappointed in the DRL brightness at the cost you'd pay for the Nova. Also, OEM Sequoia LEDs are getting more reasonable.
