Looked at your photo, seems like a really nice option. Do you get ppl flashing their brights at you?

I took the time to align them and aim them where they should be. No unwanted flashing from oncoming traffic.

I had to reverse the ploririty of the connector. Tech support said it happens quite often because the stock bulbs will work either way a lot of them come from the factor with the wires switched. Could always give them 12v straight from the battery to test the lights and eliminate the harness. Just remeber leds can only be wired one way.

Okay, I’ve had the worst headache with my 2008 Tundra’s headlights. I tried calling to buy some retrofitted ones (AWFUL) with HID’s in them. I’m looking at AlphaRex Pro’s now. I do want HID bulbs (6,000k). How hard is it to put HID bulbs in these? I’ve been shocked twice by these headlights somehow and I’m done. Is good visibility with a nice, white light to much to ask for?!

According to Headlight Revolution this kit is plug and play. I have retrofitted HID on my 1998 Jeep and they are superior to anything else I have had. I have the Pros on my Tundra and was thinking about going this route. Not impressed with LED in these housings.

Can anyone please guide me to a place where I can have a headlight repaired? I noticed a few weeks ago that my drivers side DRL on my Alpharex Pro's was not working, I went digging and found that my level adjuster was loosely connected and that my upper dust cap was also loose and that water had gotten into my headlight (I assume damaging the DRL or control board). To no avail drying it out did not work. I reached out to Alpharex via the contact form on their website just to see if they happen to do repairs, but I haven't heard back. Otherwise I have been busy working out of town and taking care of my wife who had surgery so I have not had the time to call. Other than the DRL and level adjuster not working, the headlight and blinker is just fine so I am getting by for now. I do love the look of my Pro's and would like to just get mine fixed if at all possible.

Just installed Apharex PRO Series headlights on my '07 Tundra and everything looks great but the turn indicators no longer flash when I unlock using the key FOB. Has anyone else noticed or had the same issue? I installed the DRL harness using the online instructions and everything works great with the exception of the flash when unlocking and also when I turn on the Hazard indicators, with the truck off, the front lights no longer flash. Thoughts?

The hazards don’t come on if the truck is off. Also, the headlights don’t blink when you unlock the truck. Anyone else have this problem?
I guess the lights don’t do anything when the ignition is off.

Other then that I love them!

No I do not have that issue. Sounds like something isn't hooked up right.

Update after about 16 months of ownership.

I have always preferred HID lights to LED or Halogen. I replaced the halogen that came in the AlphaRex Pros with LED but did not care for them. I had a lot of dead space in the middle of the road and many people flashed their brights at me although I had the low beams on.

I ordered a good set of GTR H7 HID lights that were plug and play for the AlphaRex Pro. The only mod to make is you have to drill a 3/4" hole in the back of the low beam cover to accommodate the rubber grommet for the HID light bulb wiring. Didn't think much of it but the very next day my lights were filled with condensation. They are ruined now.

Hope this saves someone the headache I have. I am going to spend more money now on a higher quality setup.

I dont get why people are mad that they have condensation when that have made a way for water to get in.
Mine are still bone dry, i left the bulbs that it came with alone.
This is with car washes and being left outside the whole time.

I'm not mad, at all. I am just giving others a heads up. They will offer you a "plug and play" HID kit and when you install it the lights will be junk. Leave the ugly yellow halogen bulbs in and you probably won't have a problem.

It's called sharing your experience so you can save others some pain, try it.

Anyhow, I won't be worrying about it anymore. I have Morimoto XB LED's on the way. I should have bought them the first time. :)

I didn't realize the hid kit was from them.

I like the ugly yellow ,personally not a fan of led's of headlights . But to each there own.
Hope the new ones server you well.

You know, yellow HID kits are available if you prefer yellow AND better light output :D

I think you'll like the Morimotos. Did you go with amber or the white DRLs?

Either way, really good looking headlight with performance to match.

Damn that's a hard lesson to learn.

I learned it myself years ago. I never make extra holes in HLs now lol.

I have Morimoto HIDs in mine. Drilled the cap to make the hole to pass thru the wiring. Added Silicone around the hole and the hid grommet. Haven't had any moisture problems.

    Happy for you.

I now have Morimoto XB LED and matching Fogs.. My biggest regret is that I settled for the AlphaRex the first go. The Morimotos look better and perform much better. They are definitely much higher quality.

Depends on which model you go with. If the Nova series (like I have) the Morimotos under perform.
