Well i can tell you first hand as i have spoke directly with Alpha for my shipment. They just received a new generation of the Pro. I installed them last night and i have sequential turn signal.

They came with the drl harness and fuse tap. I believe the controller was what has changed, which allows the sequential turn signal to be functional.

@Rockin 2nd Gen, that's nice! Really wish I had the sequential turn signal on mine. Another bummer is that AlphaRex released the motorized/leveling headlights in Dec 2019 less than a week after I had purchased mine (mine had just shipped!), oh well the price to be an early adopter...

Finished product. I love the look. Thanks to everyone in this thread that gave me the confidence to try it myself and not have them professionally installed. I read through all 20 pages twice to make sure I could at least do the basic hookup. Ordered mine on Black Friday and just got around to installing them this weekend.

Getting hyperflash on passenger turn signal 2 days after installing. Since i removed these housings several times i am going to attribute it to a loose connection. I have not upgraded the turn signal bulb to led yet. Looking to get the switchback bulb but i need to see if it has built in resistor or if i need the resistor kit.

Does anyone else think that the Amber DRL lights take away from the LED drl tubes? I've noticed lately that my amber ones seem almost over powering when I have no headlights on. I'd rather the attention be on the LED drl tubes.

They do. If you run your Amber's it will dim your DRLS. I found that out when I installed my Nova's.

I installed the AlphaRex Pros on my 2012 Sequoia a few weeks ago and I'm running Hikari Ultra (white box) LED low beams. The bulbs are installed with the "blade" vertical. At first I thought the output was great, but now I notice multiple dead spots in the beam pattern on the ground. It's not as noticeable while driving straight, but when making turns its pretty apparent. I'm thinking it could be the fact that the "blade" design of the Hikari bulbs doesn't have 360 degrees coverage. Does anyone else with LED bulbs notice this? I'm thinking about installing the halogen H7 bulbs that came with the headlights to see if that solves the dead spots (since they have 360 degrees illumination). If it does, I'll probably just move to an HID system.

Hey guys, reporting in to give a two month update on my Novas.

    I STILL LOVE 'EM!!!!

They're SSSSOOOO bright!!! I get so many stares (not nasty but curiosity stares). Peeps intentionally slow down just to check them out. It's quite amusing.

To understand what the fuss was about I drove my wife's Honda Accord and had my wife follow in the truck. I now understood why...

...IDK about the PROs or LUXX, but depending on the angle (viewed from side mirrors) the NOVAs casts a blueish/light purple-ish light. But when viewing the headlights from the rear view mirror they're a perfect crystal white (non-blinding) light.

    They look memorizing. Hahaha

I also noticed the LED switchback turn signals and 6K fog lights look less white compared to the crystal white look of the headlights.

Do you think a 6500 LED bulb will be a brighter white or lean slightly to the blue?

Oh, and after a few rains days and mewy mornings I have not experienced any condensation.

    LOVIN' these headlights so MUCH!!!

X2 on the Nova's. That 6500 K color temp will have a hint of blue, but not really noticeable. My retrofit had 6500 k hids and 6000 fogs. I wouldn't go any higher than 6500k .

When driving in front of truck, looking behind, that hint of blue/purple is very noticeable on the side mirrors but not when directly viewed on the rearview mirror. But I think you're talking about from FPV. But yeah, it's so super white from FPV.

I just need to find LED switchbacks and 9005's (for foglights) that will match the Novas.

I like them because I don't like having mixed colors in the headlight. They're all white when they're on (except for that pesky corner marker...) The headlights look extra clear that way.

Many switchbacks turn off the white color completely when flashing amber. I'm guessing that you aren't a fan of the alternating white/amber variety?

It would take some time, I'm not totally against it. I do like the new Morimoto Headlights with the amber DRL. That's sick looking.

I installed my AlphaRex Pro-Series headlights. After I installed them I ran into an odd issue. When I start the truck with the ebrake engaged both headlights daytime running light is white. When I disengage the ebrake the passenger one goes amber......If I turn the head lights on they both go back to white. Any ideas?

Did you have to fix any broken tabs on the headlights you bought? I have seen quite a few with a tab or two broken and wonder how hard it is to fix or rig.

One of mine had 1 broken tab but I didn't even bother fixing it. It was one of the bottom middle ones that hold the filler piece in. Doesn't affect anything.

Thanks. I haven’t taken an old headlight out but I’m assuming tabs from the old headlight could be canabalized and epoxied to the new lights? If need be

And in your experience were there certain tabs that are a must to have intact versus other tabs that weren’t needed?

Had mine on and off the pickup a couple times and all the tabs are fine.

You need to be sure to order the lights with level adjusters. They work like factory. Not sure about LED turn signals?

Just install my new Pros today. Everything seems to work. The headlights seem a little loose after the install though, has anyone experienced that? Just curious if it's going to be a big deal.

Shdwkeeper I experienced a little play in my Pros but not enough to bother me. Had them in for a month now and haven’t had any problems. Spent quite a bit of time on bumpy dirt roads and didn’t cause my lights to loosen at all.
