There's a lot of issues that I couldn't make out during initial test drive, now I notice that when I press the gas the engine Boggs and no power, feel the truck jerking while engine feels like is missing? But if I press gas jus a little she kinda goes better but slow going uphill, what do I do?

    Welcome to the forum!

I'd start with a good tune up and see where you're at.
Spark plugs, air filter, clean the throttle body, etc.
Wouldn't hurt to run a bottle of injector cleaner through it too.

Welcome from CO! I agree, a good tune up may be the right place to start.

Agree with above but add cleaning the MAF and throttle body to the list. Maybe new O2 sensors just because they can't hurt.

Tune up and oil change. Clean MAF and throttle body. Run some fuel injector for a couple tanks. Start putting your hands on her a talking real nice to her.

Aloha!! You look a little young to be driving...

I echo what these guys say. Engines need air fuel and fire to run, at least one of these is amiss. If you can do it yourself do a nice tune up or take it somewhere reputable. Change oil, filters (air, fuel, oil), cabin air while you're at it, spark plugs, plug wires if truck has them, new PCV valve, clean MAF and TB, run a few tanks of high test gas with injector cleaner and floor the gas pedal now and then to burn off the crap.

Mahalos everyone for the input, oh yeah mahalo means thank you in Hawaiian!! No scade use dat word it's all about ALOHA and island life. I recently changed oil, filter, used gunk motor flush 5 minutes system first, used mobile 1 synthetic oil and Lucas engine oil stabilizer/cleaner, plugs with NGK, fuel filter, sea foam 1 can in gas tank, cleaned MAF with qtip and rubbing alcohol, air filter, put 92 octane fuel, results: my truck doesn't jerk or engine sputter as much now, jus still when I get on the gas I can hear idle go up but slow response and pick up like something is plug? But like before when I press pedal down 1/2 inch she goes smooth but due to little pedal pressing it's slow to pick up so try stepping it down to go faster that's when she starts to holdback, what to do now? On the plus picked up some chrome motor metal rims from cuzin for $100 all 4 but bad tires and slapped on brand new federals LT265/75/R16 for $700 which included mount and dismount plus balancing from a friend who has his own shop, total $800 rim n tire combo which is good for Hawaii prices since everything is imported and expensive, that's why we build our own parts sometimes or custom fab from something similar that works, if u don't have common sense, ingenuity or mechanically inclined then in Hawaii u should be driving a fiat or Prius lol. Mahalos again every one for the help and look forward to the next advice please, sorry I'm up wen y'all are sleeping in the mainland so when u read this I be sleeping, ALOHA

Yeah buddy (redneck ‘hello’). You did good with all the tune up stuff. Maybe try tightening up the throttle cable (next to the throttle body). Clean the throttle body too. Think there are 3 bolts to loosen and it will still be connected to cable. Just put a cloth towel around it (protect the spray from going on and in engine) and spray it down around the butterfly inside. Use a small tooth brush to scrub it.

Also unplug battery to reset computer memory.

ALOHA! Sounds like it might be a fuel filter that’s clogged. I have no idea where it is on that generation tundra.
