    Too many mods to come
I run the same extended wheel studs with no issues. I have noticed different lugs being a problem and backing out. The tapered and acorn lugs definitely need to be correct for the wheel. For example Method calls for a certain tapered one and we had some back out on a buddies rig in which he didn’t get the right lugs. But thankfully we caught it

I just emailed several retailers regarding which lugs to use with this wheel. Kind of unsure what to do at this point. One wheel replacement is about $500, the lugs from japan will be about $60. I don't want to have to replace the wheels but I can just get some methods or some other brand for almost that and probably get better support on which lugs to use.

May or may not be related:
I had bought some aftermarket wheels for my 2014.
I used the stock 285/55/20 KO tires on them.

The stock lugs were quite a bit shorter with the new wheels.
And the rear was shorter than the front.

Ended up with extended lug nuts.

But after 7 rebalances, including 4 road force balances, I could never get rid of the steering wheel shimmy.
I sent all the documentation to the vendor and he let me return the wheels for a full refund.

Put the stock TSS wheels and tires back on, the shimmy was gone..:eek2:

What was the culprit per the issue? Bad hub or didn’t torque the lugs correctly to 97 ft. Lbs. incorrectly not seat the studs properly with a press or did the wheels not get balanced?…those lugnuts would’ve been fine with them Rays aftermarket wheels… were there anyone else that has worked on your truck? From the pictures the brake calipers and rotors, they look rough need some love..

I also run the Rays gram lights with a lift, also I use the Blackhawk studs extended for the front wheels only. Being tuned and living in the hill country I have not ran into any issues. But, I do check everything and also, do my own work on the tundra..

You need to Run the Rays L42 lugs for 14X1.5!… for them gram lights..

Those monoliths lug nuts I did not approve of the key way style/design, something I did not personally liked about them..

No I recently rotated the wheels myself and triple checked the torque. I don't' know how this happened. Others suggested might be incorrect lugs and lack of hub centric ring. But I don't know. As I mentioned before one lug came off about a year ago and suddenly the rest of them found a way off.

Yes i had the blackhawk studs from japan. So I didn't personally install them I had my brother do it at his shop. I don't think there was an issue installing them.

Stick to OEM for shit that matters. Like wheel components.

    No. Gross.

    lol. Bustin’ yer balls.

Lots of good aftermarket support for our trucks, including the wheel department. Like everything else, you (the consumer) need to ensure comparability. It’s unfortunate that our confidence in the ability of a “technician” to properly handle some remedial tasks is completely in the shitter these days…

I haven’t scoured each post in this thread to see if the nuts were not a correct fit to the wheels, but that’s been my guess from day one. Like Rey, I run the same Blackhawk studs and haven’t had any issues. I’ve had mine on for about 20K miles. I did let a shop (longtime personal friend) install, but I provided the little bearing stud installer tool thingy in case he didn’t have one… Even being a friend with a successful small shop that only does brakes and alignments, I still wanted to make double damn sure he had the right tools…

Hoping the OP gets this all figured out. It’s gotta be something pretty simple.

Unfortunately it sometimes in unavoidable as it was in my case. Its extremely dangerous to run some aftermarket wheels on stock/oem wheel studs. There isn't enough thread to properly secure the wheels which forces the use of non oem studs for more threads.

Just an update: I got my new aftermarket wheels in about 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately two of the wheels were blemished, albeit pretty minor but I had to decide if I was going to keep them. I worked out a deal with the manufacture and decided to throw them on today.

I wanted to use oem studs with this new set up. However once I mounted I didn't feel there was enough thread using the OEM. So truck is still parked and I'll be looking into longer aftermarket once again.
