It's not just the size. It's the fact that they market this as an off-road warrior and then stick street tires on it. Hell, even an XLT package F-150 gets all terrains.

I agree. My point is that we would be complaining either way...

I do think toyota should have played with wheel offsets and fit a 295 minimum tire on it. They definitely took the easy route with minimal effort

I understand the stock tires do look small. I also understand why Toyota puts them on. But at a minimum they should at least offer a few different wheel and tire packages for it. Then just use a disclaimer that miles per gallon will be affected.

I think it would be so cool if you could order whatever gearing package and tire package along with wheel offset that you wanted.

The size of tire is definitely wrong. Honestly, one or two sizes up with a standard BFG AT...and you at least wouldn’t have to get to the tire store within a month of your new purchase! At least it would be respectable!

    In progress…
My 2019 Pro came with 275/65/18 Ridge Grapplers. I can tolerate this size until these actually need to be replaced, probably with 275/70/18. That’s big enough for me... I think.

This thread would not have been created if mine came with Ridge Grapplers...even in the same size. I know someone said the Michelin’s are ATs...but come on, look at them! Lol

I wish Toyota would at least put on tires like Chevy does the Trailboss. They are a aggressive looking tire that matches the styling of their truck.
Sure it’s the same tire tires as ours but it looks a lot better than the Michelin. I wouldn’t be in such a hurry to spend another $1600 on some bigger tires.

That has never worked for me. Dealers always wanted some stupid price for replacements and never wanted to give a fair shake for the take offs. Fortunately the last 4x4 F150 I did this with I had another F150 that needed tires fairly quickly. Just went to Discount and bought what I wanted. 4x4 F150 had street tires on it. Stupid. Last 2 Toyotas came with BFG ATs. So I did not have to deal with it.

Anytime i asked for new tires they asked me what I wanted and got them.
I have 4 dealers within a few miles of me though so I am guessing they will do what it takes to sell theirs and not have me take a 10 minute drive up the road.

It definitely adds insult to injury when you purchase a very expensive truck and they put mickey mouse tires on it. I realize not everyone is going to use the truck for the same purpose, but they could at least provide a more versatile tire that compliments the look of the truck.

I got wimpy Bridgestones on mine, tiny ones, and my truck is a 4x4. I don't want to sell them for a few dollars apiece on Craiglist, so I guess I am just going to drive them until they are bald. They look terrible though.

I have many dealers in this area. It has been quiete a while since I asked to swap tires. Maybe dealers are hungrier now.

I had the same feelings.... Called Dave at Coachbuilder ekstrom_design@yahoo.com, got the Pro Kit, ordered +25 Icons 6speeds and 35s KO2. I just ordered this week. I will post how everything works out.

Also called Keith at Dirty DeedsDirtyDeedsIndustries@gmail.com and will be re-gearing to 5.29s in the future.

Both of these gentlemen were very helpful and spent a good deal of time walking me through to process. I have nothing but good things to say about these guys.

I'm in between tire size now (my 35s KO2 I order from Amazon were cancelled). Re-gearing is fairly expensive and my boss is going to bitch with 35s (he pays for gas). I saw some RG 33 today and they looked nice. I came from 07 Double Cab with 250K and the CM seems significantly slower already. With 35s it may be a dog, I will get crap from boss and I will have to shell out 3Kish for gears.... The stock tires are pizza cutters. Figure I will go big or go home. 17 six speed are to be delivered this Friday.

Think of the same. What are you thinking for the spacers to work with the 295s?
