Harsh but true... seen a guy towing a haul of junk wood in a trailer once. He had an S10 Chevy and had this enormous trailer over loaded connected to the factory bumper hole. I think it’s rated for 200 lbs or something. He must have seen my eyes when I realized but he kinds smirked like “do it all the time attitude”. I was appalled.

Delivery is worth the extra money. I usually have the yard materials place deliver whatever i need in a 7-8 yard dumptruck load for $50.
I used to make several trips with my small utility trailer , back and forth to the bark dust place all damn day, getting my truck covered in bark dust and mud , in and out of the truck blah blah blah...

May the lord help someone who does dumb shit like this and harms my family, same with drunk drivers or anyone else who "knows best". I’m amazed in this litigation world we live in that people aren’t aware of the potential shit storm awaiting them....

If you threw 4 Seans in the back of your truck you are about maxed out in payload. But nobody would know, because I can fit four of me underneath the cover. Dead or alive.

Next time maybe rent a trailer from U-Haul. Easier to get all that off a trailer anyhow.

I bet if you talk to the next guy he'll tell you they deliver. I'm in the same situation, Lowes is in city limits and I"m 5 miles from them in the county. They deliver no problem.

I got a load of mulch a couple of years ago, nothing like you got, think it was 40 bags. 2 guys helped me load, I had to unload myself. Last time I did that, they can drop it in my garage and I can pull it out when I want.

A couple miles at 20 miles per hour and 5 mph in turns.... I’m not seeing the drastic “lives being risked” narrative here. Only thing being risked appears to be his truck. Poor truck :(

I dunno, all that shit adds up. Anyways, that's not the scary part, that's when you see them on the freeway with a bit of speed heading back to Mexico.

Yeah....just a bit overloaded...lots! You can do what you want with your truck, not my place to tell you what to do. That said if it were me, even only for 3 miles I would have either gotten it delivered, or paid the 25 bucks to rent a U-haul open cargo trailer for several hours, done it all in a single trip and been safe about it. While the truck “can” carry it, it’s grossly overloaded and maneuverability is severely compromised. Please think twice before doing something like that again.

On a different note, what’s the project this is all for? Pics of the finished result would be cool to see
