After seeing this recall post I think most of us are ok that they only did those small updates.

    Shirley you can’t be serious…

And I thought this thread was about tundras exploding in to flames, not fractional differences in comprehending a number’s ability to follow a decimal point? Where’s the darn pics of stuff on fire??!?

Yes, this! I would like to protect the line until they can fix it. May get under there and see if I can find it today. I have my 10k oil change on Tuesday…at the very least I’ll ask them to show me where the problem is.

In the grand scheme of things, who cares? Call mine a 2.5, 3.7, 1.568, etc. Just as long as I can wave to the Ford and Ram owners broken down on the side of the road. Life is good.

The lie detector determined... THAT is a lie; you admitted to the detector admin that 3rd gen owners wear tutus, patent leather cat masks, and insist everyone refer to them as "Princess Kitteh-Beast".

for sure, and I don’t want to hear it, the engine or exhaust sound of this set up isn’t the strong point , the low end torque is.

I’ve said before , this is the quietest truck I’ve ever owned, I like it that way.

Anybody know for sure where exactly the problem area is? I would do something to prevent the problem from occurring until Toyota corrects the issue.

My dealer as already "re-clipped" my fuel line, I received the recall on my app and was in almost immediately. They used metal clips with rubber inserts

I went in this past Saturday as soon as I heard of the recall. I was told they don't have a solution and couldn't do anything about it yet.
Turns out, the message the dealership service department has in their system doesn't match what my app was telling me. Their system said permanent fix not available.
The app states permanent fix isn't not yet available, but a temporary fix can be applied.
They said there is nothing they can do....

Its probably a dealer thing I was told its certainly not the permanent solution but they reclipped the fuel line truck was in all day just for that. So I presume a lot of things needed to be removed to do this.

I was curious to see how long it would take. Bummed to hear it was an all-day event for you. Sounds like you took one for the team. Thanks.

Do you have a cat shield? I wonder if an aftermarket piece like that is gonna complicate this repair. I'm not sure I want those monkeys messing with and maybe stripping the security bolts for that.
