Real quick picture taken after install of the old style pro grille and your face plate. Obviously not much to see, but that’s a good thing. It’ll get several hundred miles of testing over the next week or so.

So, the “clean sensor” light came on today. It was right after I washed and waxed the truck. Not sure if it’s going to be constant, but any recommendations?

About 200 miles in. Throws a code off and on, but main thing I’m noticing is that it’s actually picking up cars in the lanes next to me fairly often as well.

I'm curious as to how removing the ribs and the cover still being 1/8 works but a 1/16 is giving an error.

My truck picked up cars in the other lane initially and hasn't done it since. Is the AJT bracket pointed directly forward (not shifted to one side....some have had that issue), straight vertically, and seated flat against the radiator support? It seems like every truck has a mind of its own.

I’m just now realizing I can turn off the radar feature during cruise control (allegedly). I’ll try when I get home. What else is that tss used for?

If you press and hold the cruise it turns off the radar and just goes to normal cruise control. I run that way 99% of the time because I hate that it cuts speed and kills my momentum at the exact wrong moment. The only other thing it does is flash and beep if your closing speed is too great and it thinks you're going to crash, and at slower speeds it supposedly brakes for you as pedestrian protection. That's all great, but I don't really need my truck helping me drive.

If I turn the cruise radar off, will it still throw a code and cut my cruise control off anytime the sensor says it needs to be cleaned, or is that just for the adaptive cruise control. I could go the rest of my life without cruise control slowing me down every time I go around a corner

The radar error only affects the adaptive cruise. If you bypass that and just use the old fashioned fixed speed cruise control it won't matter if the sensor throws an error.

Well, I’ve got just over 1,000 miles on the new bracket and the issues I had initially have gone away. Unless it’s raining / snowing, the warning light hasn’t come on once. Looks like a “pass” to me!

Any updates from you guys on the thinner covers? @21cavalryTSS is having issues and I'm wondering if one of them will help him.

Since Apr 3rd, the last time I posted, I have MAYBE had the alert sensor come on twice. It has been otherwise flawless and has allowed me to put the old school pro grille on my truck. Fantastic

You looking to sell these or still looking for testers? We moved back to AZ from NJ and go on lots of road trips back to CA to see family, and I’m getting real tired of not having cruise control lol. I also have the ‘14-‘17 pro grille

it’s so embarrassing to me that you can’t get anyone to respond to you after you did this thing for free. Such bullshit.

I think you can still use cruise control - I thought the only thing effected by the error was adaptive cruise control. If you hold the cruise control button down you bypass the adaptive cruise control and have regular cruise control. But it is a pain in the butt to have constant errors

@Tundra234 I am still having issues. I took the ajt bracket and modified it to mount up a little higher so it’s directly behind the grill emblem like stock. I made sure it’s level and straight and points directly forward. My sensor now works but when a vehicle comes up beside the truck the sensor slows the truck down and every so often I will get the clean sensor notification.

Have the new covers been working still? I’m thinking about getting the ajt relocation bracket and making a new cover out of 2mm clear acrylic. Maybe using abs plastic is interfering with the sensor? The factory emblem that the sensor originally sits behind seems to be made from a different type of plastic. More glass-like.
