    There really is nothing to work on these it is just a case the mechanics are the guts of the OEM one. Am sorry but I am frugal(cheap if you want to say that) but semi retired of a fixed budget doesn't allow for looks as opposed to functionality.

    I went into vehicle settings on the head unit. Mine is a 2019 platinum, so don't know if it's available on earlier or all models. Good luck!

    Lock settings : Same on mine ‘18. Truck needs to be on and the setting with light up allowing you to change them.

    I have two sets. They used to say TRD on the back but got sued by Toyota. They said they will sell the TRD ones but make no more. One of mine came with TRD and the other has three circles instead. Who got lucky and got a TRD one?!

    Had the same issue. Ended up being the LED Cargo light I had put in there. It interferes with the receiver that is located near it. You unlock the driver door, light comes on, and doesn't want to unlock the passenger doors with the light on. Switched to a different brand bulb and it works tits now. Ironically the cheapy Amazon bulbs worked, the Super Bright LEDs brand did not. You can experiment by turning the cargo light to off on the switch and see if it goes away.

    I didn't know that. Why would Toyota care that they say TRD and not about the "T" logo? Mine looks just like the one in post 42,except my screws are black. I got mine when he first started selling them though.

    There are some people on this forum who have bought some that are compatible with our trucks.
    The key needs to be cut and then programmed but, from what I understand, it’s the same process as getting a new blank and fob programmed to the truck.
