It's crazy. Some dealers have the parts some folks are waiting for weeks. You should try calling other dealers in your area and see what they say. Could be a temporary supplier problem right now.

Thanks I'll call some other dealer. I'm on the coast of sc and there are not many dealers close.

Someone else will chime in soon enough and may have more info for you. Good luck. (Been to Beaufort a few times. Lived there years ago. Early 60's. My dad was stationed at MCAS. I was at the MCAS for a month in 81 myself for temp duty assignment)

It just depends on the part availability. Some have it, some dont and have to order it. Think of it this way - you are placing less miles / wear and tare on your truck while the rental gets it instead, and are probably saving on fuel costs.

I'm still awaiting my parts in Ottawa, On. Been over a month now. No rental, they just wanted me to leave the truck with them.

No rental?? I can see maybe a couple days, but a month and no rental was offered? Maybe you didn't need one. Toyota needs to be better prepared for this. They extended the warranty so they should have made sure there would be parts available

Nope. They offered to keep it for me, saying it shouldn't be driven. Nice of them to think of me like that, over 45min from town.

Only 45 minutes? Great. You would think that when they told you to not drive it they would have given you a couple of bus tokens to take the bus to the main highway where you could hitch hike back home. heh heh.

I was told that toyota would provide a loaner and would pay for it. that has been my case so far.had it 13 weeks and still no word on the parts availability. I would call toyota and see what the policy is.sounds like your dealer is messing you around.

That sucks having to still wait that long. Pretty soon there should be more than enough pumps, you'd think. No doubt Toyota is aware of the situation but not much the dealer can do if there aren't enough pumps to go around.

    Sadly....none
I feel your pain. My 2011 was down for almost 3 months while waiting on parts. Apparently the plant that makes the parts was shut down for some reason. When parts are available they ship so many to the different regions in the US. I'm in Georgia near Atlanta, no dealers near by had any of the parts. I was initially given a Camry from the dealership as a loaner. I loved the fewer fill ups but I own a truck for a reason. If the dealership won't give you a truck call Toyota directly and bitch to them, it got me a loaner POS Chevy but it was a truck.
