I'm using the stock bolt down bracket and my AGM is fine. Doesn't move an inch.

I may have to go with dobinson instead of ARB since I have bushwacker flares and they may not fit without cutting the flare which I won't do....

Does group 31 'sit' beyond a group 27F tray, that's most of my worry. I mean, extra $200 in bracket is a little rich.

MK3 is mini, mk2 is micro. Mini is needed for FGT but micro is stealthier for 2G Tacoma. MK3 is cheaper, likely because it’s easier to build with the extra space?

Do you have issues with the mini fuse fitting correctly in the fuse box? Mine from day 1 (post #70) has been really loose, and have to keep tape over it from coming out. Looking at it compared to a regular fuse I don't really see why it isn't snug, the spades look to be the same width. Was thinking of just ordering another to see if it fits tighter. I can't find any other product that is the same with the 2 wires other than this one though unfortunately.

Update, after looking at the reviews on Amazon again after remembering someone said it didn't work on their RAM, it makes sense. The plug is too wide to seat down all the way, filed the edges and fits nice and snug now. No more trying to hold it in with duct tape... Here's a before and after comparing it to a regular fuse.

If I remember correctly, I had to shave some of the fuse adapter body width with a file so it would fully engage into the fuse box. Il have to look. It initially fit like crap and needed some work to fit in there.

Been running the X2 battery for maybe just over a year now along with the HKB diode. Went to grab lunch and truck wouldn't start. Battery was low and showing 81% on my charger. I charged it up and it seems to be okay now. Do we still need to use the charger once in a while to top off the agm batteries? I was under the impression using the diode would eliminate the need for maintenance charging, but maybe I'm wrong.

Thanks that's what I thought. I went to batteries plus and they said the battery was low and they needed it charged fully before they could test. I'll take it back in the morning and get it tested now that I charged it up at home.

    You ain't wrong.

I have noticed the HKB isn't really pushing the charging voltage as high as advertised. According to my OBD app-based plug-in thingamjigger, I was only seeing about 13.4v. The ammeter in the dash never touched 14. I knew at that point I'd have to slap the trickle charger over night once a month.

I've reached out to HKB and was asked about what my truck was charging before the diode but have yet to hear anything back post response.

I see you are in Phoenix (I am too for now), the heat takes a toll on batteries. I wonder if the Toyota charging circuit has any temperature compensation? My Battery Minder does.

    Too many, but not enough....
Would the AGMs sold by Costco benefit from the diode upgrade? Would I need to trickle charge them ever?Screenshot_20221008-221546_Chrome.jpg

You may want to check the HKB isn't installed backwards. I have a 2015 and installed the diode about 2-3 months ago. My ScanGauge II reads 14.7V on start up then will adjust. I'm usually at 14.3-14.5 on the drive to work every morning and below 14 on my drive home from work. Before the diode I was at 14.1V or below reading on the ScanGauge II.

Yeah I installed it backwards when I first got it and the battery light came on. Flipped it around so I know it's right.

That's a bummer. I know that the HKB guy was away for a bit, but hopefully they get back to you. I've never seen my voltage that low since installing the HKB.

    That was my experience.
I had an X2 with the HKB and ended up with a dead battery twice in 6 months.
I no longer have an AGM..

That HKB was upping my voltage to 14.5, using a digital voltmeter in the dash.
It ran 13.1 to 13.5 or so without it.
