aggressive sounding weld on replacement exhaust?

im not paying anything over $300. i just wanna replace my muffler. looking into straight pipes, flowmaster super 10, 40 series, and various glasspacks. just love that loud rumble like from a boat. i feel like realistically just to swap the muffler shouldnt cost more than $200 for just material

 

just based on the research ive seen those were the few i had it narrowed down to

 

i wonder if a shop would let me test them? the guy i trust and ususally go to i provide my own muffler so i know the inlets and outlets are correct i cant imagine they have eveything in stock

 

You could ask Keith over @dirtydeeds if he would sell you a weld on muffler. That would be my first stop. I think it's tough being a dual in, single out as far as aftermarket goes, plus the off pipe diameter that Toyota uses.

No. His kits are a complete bolt on cat back, with 2 mufflers in the size if your xouce (or no mufflers if you order it without them aka budget system)

 

think i could get a weld on for under $300 ,i just want a weld on muffler and there seems to be many options from $85 - 150. when i had my silverado straight piped, i ended up paying $15o total. so i was looking into like the $100 mufflers, that would be a direct weld on replacement thatl cost an additional $100 in labor

 

He won't try to sell you anything. Just ask him what he recommend for exactly what you're asking / your budget. Hes a very honest and helpful guy. He may have a muffler for you that you can have welded in, or may suggest just straight piping / deleting mufflers. The big question will be the drone and how much you can stand and if it can be reduced somehow
