I purchased a Sherwood Dash Kit from Carid and was wondering if anyone has any experience with something like it? It's basically a dash kit made out of genuine wood that is 3M taped.

I bought the B&I '3D' model from Carid. Originally chose "factory match" but when received it looked nothing like toyota factory oem (no sheen even) so back it went. Waiting on their next attempt using "natural birdseye"....

well it was ok, but it really was what they call "tiger wood", has only stripes in one direction, nothing like toyotas take on it. But what i really didn't like is it had zero shine/gloss to it, barely a sheen - like it was not completed yet it was. Workmanship otherwise was excellent. Carid's customer service is impeccable, not to mention their very unusual on phone wait line commentaries. That alone is worth the call, trust me....I'll update once I get the replacement, its all custom made so gotta wait a couple weeks....

I put an aftermarket woodgrain kit in one of my trucks years ago. Unless the quality and fitment has vastly improved since then I wouldn't do it again. To me it looked kind of tacky because it stuck up to far (3M tape plus material)…..didn't like it and ended up removing it.

I hope the one you bought is of a better quality and fitment.
