leveling kit, (3" front, 1" back) after mkt wheels, carpet kit, bed cover, tinted window visiors, S&B air intake, Sylvania ultra headlight bulbs, Nokya Artic White fog bulbs, Spyder LED tail lights, 320 lumen reverse light bulbs, 275 65 20 Michelins.
Installed the AFE Momentum Air Intake and my CEL & Traction Control Off are both illuminated. Any idea on a fix?? Yes, i have reset multiple times and CEL returns within 30 min. of drive time.
Called AFE and they a supposed to be sending me a different throttle body tube. They think it might be a problem with the crank case vent (CCV) hole diameter being too small on the aFe tube; BUT they really don't know. Dis-appointing to spend $425 and create a problem you didn't have prior. Performance seems improved and sound is improved...but that damn annoying CEL! Will return to Realtruck if i can't get this resolved.
Any other recommendations for other intakes for 2014 5.7L Toy Tundra??

Welcome from CO. Sorry to hear about that. I left my factory air box alone (which is a CAI) and dropped in a K&N. S&B makes very good CAI's and for some reason not mentioned here a lot. S&B makes military spec dust particle separators/filters for tanks and aircraft and usually kicks butt over the competition. Not sure how S&B sounds but probably has the best filtration.

Ordered a S & B, sent the aFe Momentum back for refund. Will post results of the install, performance, CEL status, etc. as soon as i install it and run it a few days

I have the exact same intake, AFE Momentum and have had no problems since date of install. Hopefully just a small defect as you've mentioned.

interesting, maybe they just had a bad lot of non-conforming intakes. on mine the MAF interface allowed air to leak around the MAF causing the CEL. aFe sent me another and it had the same discrepancy. I told aFe customer service to notify me when they came up with a solution. Did not hear back for a few weeks, so ordered the S & B based on reviews and MATLUTH's recommend

I prefer my stock CAI with K&N, (for now) but I would definitely go with the S&B if I were to change things. Definitely S&B. Good enough for military, good enough for me.

Ditto on that^^^. You see a lot of S&B's on semi's too. Usually that is a good sign.....

I have read good things on S&B also, of course after I bought the AFE. Would be interested in hearing your feedback on that system.

Had the S & B on for a week now. very pleased. Really howls when you get on it. Not sure on gas mileage yet. Need to quit putting my foot in it! :)
