That sucks man. I hope you can get it straightened out. Make sure you check all the door seals and truck bed to quater panel to see that it all flows.

We live and learn I guess.

They are going to start from scratch is what the owner told me.... he agreed that it didn't match.

Look at the difference in the hood and the fender.

 

Can someone confirm that the gap betw fender and hood is correct. I do not have a pic of the other side.

 

So hard to tell from the pics. I see what you're pointing out, but I also see other pics where that same area looks correct. All that matters though is what it looks like in person.

 

Hard to tell. Not sure if it looks weird because I saw the Before picture, or what. I’m on picture the side panel looks darker than the rest but hard to tell with the reflection of that that dark colored car parked next to you. I would also scout the area for orange peel as those guys will rush sometimes.


Door looks too dark in some photos but again, that car next to you is messing with my perception.

From a distance it looks good but with the fender and hood pic it looks little off

 

I was wondering where they would leave the demark. Still sticks out to me. It's not matched.
The gap between the bumper and that piece below the headlight don't look right either. Might be shadow but don't look right.

 

Just make sure it looks right to you before you sign off. It's hard to tell from the pics. My first new 4Runner had the hood repainted before I bought it & it didn't show for 3-4 years. My truck was red & the hood turned orange-y in color. It looked worst under certain parking lot lighting. I couldn't verify that it had been repainted until I had it professionally detailed & he pointed out 2 tint drip marks on the back edge that I never noticed. Problem is, once I could see the difference, it bothered me every time I used the 4Runner.

 

My thought was the hood and fender looked different shades as well. Glad they are repainting for you

 

I think you're good to go, there is some gap between the fender and good in comparison but I think it's acceptable.




Side note this might be a good opportunity to install clear bra on your hood and front bumper

That would bug the crap out of me. Also notice the point where the fender hits the headlight. That aint' right.

 

Yep, gap is too big and not lined up with the light

 

im trying to view it on the same lighting level/plain shadows will throw it off

 

a bit off but then again that silver color under the sun shows different shades
