And thats why you shim or buy new bump stops to account for that. And half the people buying these shocks aren't going to use them what they are for or max them out.

Okay I'll take better picture. I'm not sure of the spring rate just ordered the shocks and uca together as a mid travel set up.
It probably is high spring rate because I tried adjusting and they were really hard. Even to compress so I left them like that.

I had fox before on my Tacoma and they were no where near as hard as these are to adjust. Even with the ring screw a bit untightened

Believe fox comes with 700lb spring I have to spray some lube on mine jack the front end off to take the pressure off then adjust it

You do have the truck off the ground when adjusting correct? Also try to squirt a tad bit of WD40 on the threads when you adjust them

I had them withour the uca and tires while trying to adjust and it was near impossible. Unless I hit with a rubber mallet to turn the spanner wrench after on full turn I left it like that instead.

Truck was off the ground. Without uca or tires.
I've done it before. Just these were really hard

I like how it sits right now. If I go higher I'll be doing it with a spindle.
I was just surprised with the little bit of thread showing (0.75") it gave me that much lift.
With my Tacoma it had to show about 2" of thread.

Other way around. Higher spring rate = less preload.

See that paint missing around the uni-ball on the back side? This is what Jerry is talking about, and stood out to him....if you wanna know.

Been a busy few months between work, house mods, truck mods, and holidays.
The soccer mom short bus definitely got some love though.

This is me literally ripping my top off my TJ....and some paint off the fenders.

This is me massaging the drivers side a tad.

And I'm sure my beadlock ring on the passenger rear is scuffed nicely.

I'm probably the only person on this board that carries a can of high gloss black spray paint...lol

He actually just gave you some good tech. There is some good science that goes into suspension setups that work.

    Yeah definitely got knowledge bonged.

But as long as my truck can jump a rut headed out to some hunting spots I'm good. Definitely not a crawler or trail boss.
When it's time for new struts I'll probably replace the fronts with the Billy 6112's. doubt I'll extend them much past the stock or 1+ setting.
