I have a 2015 Tundra Crewmax and the Entune System isn't loud enough. I was told to add an amp. Has anyone done this and does it help?

You can add an amp... But you will probably be pretty disappointed with the sound. For some reason, Toyota really doesn't feel like people who buy their tundras care about the sound system. Even the JBL speakers they install aren't very good. Sorry, I don't want to sound negative, just giving the facts.

If you add an amp, you will need to make sure you don't over power the speakers. I'm not sure what they are rated for, but I seriously doubt they will handle much.

So you will most likely want to just upgrade it all. Since you have the entune head unit and most likely want to keep it, you will have to have a line converter of some kind. This can be tricky, since most if not all Toyota head units put out a dirty signal. Meaning, you may end up with a little white noise. Like Adam mentioned above, taco tunes has a line converter that you may be able to tune out any unwanted noise. There are other converters out there, so just do a little research on them.

Sorry, all you asked about was amping what you have... And you got all of this above!

You could try buying an amp and keep your existing equipment. Maybe you will like it. Maybe not. It's my thought you wont be happy with it, especially after spending the money on an amp and doing the work.
