Just curious what everyone's thoughts are, never owned a tundra before and bought a new 18 limited crew max in cement. I love the truck, and i never leave anything alone. I don't want some deep dish bro-cal highway princess pos, i want a purpose build.

So there lays my debate, drive it for a year and get the 19 pro, or make an 18 limited look like a slightly modified pro. Also, thoughts on supercharger? Magnussen or spend the extra for a trd one installed at toyota to keep it under warranty?

Welcome from mass. Keep the 18 and modify it. The Pro has leas options in the interior which is way harder to modify than suspension.

Pro is over hyped with ok suspension, keep the current truck and put some king shocks on it and go speeding off-road while still having a plush ride on the black top. I think the supercharger is for people who actually race, if I could afford a supercharger I would save the $ for a badass mid travel setup with bypasses and still have money left over for wheels and tires.

So first update, i have a guy painting my semi currently, next he's going to body color match the grill sorround, handles, mirror covers, and front bumper caps. I hate chrome. Also ordered the blackout badges (not caps, oem replacements), i blacked out the windows already, first thing i always do to a new truck, followed by just installed a truxedo lopro tonneau cover. I looked at some rims and tires, don't want to go any bigger than 18's is my thoughts to have enough tire left over.

So, next set of addons would be suspension, exhaust, contemplating light barin the grill as long as it doesn't look dumb, anything I'm missing or suggestions from the people that know the tundra lifestyle?

Find yourself a nice Mid travel kit and you will have a better setup than the TRD Pro. ADS, King or Fox make great kits. In the end I went with MCM Mid Travel kit that has ADS Racing shock and I'm very happy with the setup.

We've been pretty patient I think, giving advice without a pic of your ride. But we need at least one asap. It can be a "before" pic.

What do you plan on doing with your truck? 50% offroad use? 5%? 95%? Wench with huge bumper? High speed stuff? Low speed crawling? Overlanding? Towing a trailer?

25% offroad at most, there will be times when it gets fun just not a lot of places to go in wisconsin other than hunting season or when i goto upper michigan. Big thing i use it for is hauling dirtbikes and possibly towing a camper if we downsize to a bumper pull camper. I think we're getting an rv so i don't have to worry at that point. No winch or huge bumper, not opposed to an aftermarket bumper, just not trying looking to have one that looks like a plow lol

I don't think BDS makes a Mid Travel kit. I could be wrong though. Got a link of what BDS kit you're looking at?

I say it's okay. BDS web site doesn't say how much travel you gain. You have to cut the frame. Doesn't include new leafs and uses a block/shackles in the rear. Shocks are Fox 2.0's and not 2.5's. Rear shocks aren't remote resi's or bypass.

How much of a lift do you want? Looking for just looks or off road performance? I suggested a Mid Travel kit because you were thinking of a TRD Pro truck. I wouldn't consider the BDS kit as a Mid Travel Kit.

Strong. I like 'em. Plan on getting some myself eventually. 17" though. More sidewall on the tire.

    But I'm biased.
