When my Amazon special powered sub goes out I'm doing this. I just dropped mine in and wedged in microfibers so it didn't rattle hahaha.

I want to do something like this, but seal the space up and use a ported setup. Hopefully 10”, but I’m guessing the air space will only support a ported 8”. I would pull the metal cage, build a box for the top and sides portion and seal it to the metal cab floor, adding sound deadening material to the cab floor and back wall. Cover the box back up with the existing floor carpet.

    Imma keep it stock
I wrapped my whole box, inside and out, in that sealed foil tape. It does the job well. As OP said in the first post of the sub thread, there are holes everywhere and you really have to search for them. I will admit, I haven't had a sub in a vehicle since I was 17 years old. The 10, "turned up to 11" is way too much for me to handle on a regular basis. I had to dial the gain way down. I guess I'm just getting old.
