OK. So I, like others, have experienced the weird noise the AC makes when you turn it on after the vehicle has started. Like others, I went to Toyota and they allegedly could NOT duplicate the issue. After reading others on this forum left their AC on when shutting the vehicle down to avoid the noise on startup I did the same and results were good. My question is that if I leave the AC on when shutting down will I cause any damage to the system over time by leaving it on in such a manner?

Can confirm I’m hearing the same noise after not driving vehicle for a few days. Sounds like a rusted shaft beginning to turn. Never hear it again for the rest of the day.
