I don’t hate it. I can see the appeal to those who don’t need a truck in a traditional sense but would like the ability to haul mulch and other types of things that you might not want in the back of an suv.

For me, cars and trucks are like food. Being a fat boy, I like it all but just like some a lot more than others! This Hyundai pickup falls in the "others" category.

I really like the concept. Many people who want a pickup bed to haul household stuff do not need a truck per say. I do question a bed that small though. The ridgeline can at least haul dirtbike or small atv.

I'm not a fan of that but I have said for over a decade that Toyota should bring back a small truck. Long ago I thought it would be a cool addition to the Scion line, of course that lone is no more, but a small no frills single cab 4 cylinder truck would sell. Not everybody wants a big truck, for those people there is nothing left but to fight over older Toyotas.

Everyone needs an old Toyota truck as a backup for their Tundra!

Yep, most that drive trucks these days never use them as a truck!

There is no denying that. 90% of the time I don't need my truck but I can't let it go.

I could go for that! If only there were enough good, old 'Yota trucks to go around.

Everyone's missing the real issue here.
What's the largest tire I can put on it? That's the question.

You're right. I'm lucky with the old '89 as I bought it new. For over a year, I looked for a good Taco as a daily driver and finally found this one that my son has now. It had over 300K miles, but it was excellent condition with all service records. Toyota made so many of the 3.4L V6 engines, as long as you have good frame and body, just replace the motor when needed and these trucks can run for many years.

No no. The real issue is: does it have a trans cooler

I really wish someone would bring back the reg cab small truck . 2004 taco reg cab 2wd is perfect to me for weekend hauling. Not that I need another truck since I currently have two.... but still like those lol

Everyone that I work with uses their truck as a truck mainly because it is a truck and we need trucks to work from.

WTAF is wrong with the rest of you?

And yes we all do need a baby truck to go with our non-baby Tundra!

Yea I've always used my truck for truck things. Used to I was an ironworker and welder, before that a home builder. Then I also had motorcycles and dirt bikes to haul... Now I'm a banker but I offroad and overland out of my truck now. It gets used and sometimes abused as a truck every chance I can in the mountains. We ALL should be 100 percent behind these trars though because the more they catch on the more likely real trucks will return back to earth on pricing. Oh and I also use my truck for honey do's , dump runs, new furniture , home depot runs etc. My other truck though , she's just cool and is for looks

Also, if all the soccer dads would buy this or the Ridgeline instead of body of frame trucks, we could keep our payload and not have trucks that sag with 3 bags of groceries in the bed.
