I recently got the 6 3/4" for my Tundra and for my GTI. I ordered them and when I chose PayPal I didnt realize that would dictate my shipping address, I hadn't used PayPal in years so it was sending to the wrong place. Zach took care of that in no time and I got the antennas before my drive to Mexico.

I tried the one in my truck first, sounds just like the stock antenna did, I was surprised. Disclaimer that I have a loose connection there to chase, can't blame the antenna for that at all. I love the low profile and good sound. I had tunes all 6 hours of my trip thanks to Zach.

Next day i hopped into my GTI to drive to work, holy chit it sounded better than ever! That car has a roof mount so no doubt its optimal for a stubby, this beats the hell out of my old stubby and my old stock one.

    Just ordered the Stubby!
Been looking at this for some time now. The positive reviews and great engagement from Zach convinced me to pull the trigger. Plus I was getting tired of constantly having to exit vehicle to remove OEM antenna before entering the car wash.

The Tundras.com forum mod influence has begun on day 1 already!!!

    Just ordered the 17" @TheAntennaSource
I had a stubby one from one of the car parts store, didn't last long. Figure get a taller one as i'm not in the woods but we are rural and stations were spotty sometimes. Looking forward to it, tired of hearing the OEM scrap the carport.

Still wondering why in 2020 the truck still has one!

I would still remove it for the car wash, some members had the same stubby break off.

Probably not a bad recommendation but my understanding is that the latest version is guaranteed/warranteed against car-wash breakage so I’m not sweating it at this point. I’ll definitely let everyone know if I learn the hard way...........

In any event I’ll volunteer to be the guinea-pig for testing on this for forum members.

On another note, I haven’t noticed any loss of signal reception with the new antenna and picking up all my local stations as before. In fairness, when I get on the road for more travel I often just switch to Bluetooth music from my iTunes.

Stubby ordered! The factory long boy was irritating to look at bending to winds doing 70mph. First and last time I went through a touchless carwash it got a little lean to now. Time to make the first external "mod". Thanks to Tundras.com for spending more of my money on the right product. Looking forward to it!

Easiest install mod ever. What a difference it makes to the overall look of the truck! Perfect. And there was a small amount of difference on the way to work for my radio stations non-issue. If it becomes an issue I'll get the 17". Let me ask though @TheAntennaSource how do I stop this from corroding out and busting off like it did on my previous Tacoma. Lube or semi annual remove and clean?

    Maybe some anti-seze?
Removing it once or twice a year to clean shouldn't be a problem..

This happened to mine on my current truck. It looked more like it broke due to fatigue. I used blue LocTite on the threads so that some clown wouldn't wander off with it.
