Clicked on the add to cart button (on the right hand side of the page) for the 6 3/4" manual and paid with Paypal....simples!

Thanks! I got a stubby antenna from Autozone too and I have the same issue. I live in Richardson (WELL within DFW) and have terrible HD reception. I prefer the look and mostly use blue tooth anyway but if this helps, I'll pick it up.

    More on the way
I installed the antenna last night and tested it in the garage. Now in fairness I'm in the suburbs of Charlotte so there are plenty of radio stations that are fairly strong. The antenna seemed to work well, but there were a few weak stations that my stock antenna picked up that now have some static. I may get a stock replacement antenna for longer trips but keep the stubby for around town because its nice not slapping the garage door every time I roll in and also be able to go through a car wash

OK, so it's fitted...first impressions resulted in the 'stubby; being sent to the trash (not before time...POS).
So far getting all the stations I get with the stock antenna (used to tune and find the stations).....looking good folks!

I installed it a few days ago an was able to finally try it yesterday. I am very please with the result. Very very close to that of the original antenna. I recommended. Looks and works great.

Question: is the install simply unscrew top of the original antenna and screw in the stubby?

Yup, just unscrew the stock antenna, screw the provided stud into the stubby and screw the stubby into the antenna base. Piece of cake. After I tested mine I did unscrew it and put a drop of blue loctite on the stud.

Just curious, why the loctite? Was it a little loose or something?

It's about 90% as good as the original and I can live with that.

I've had mine on the truck for 4-5 days now. I got all the same HD station I can get at home right at 50 miles away where I work. Like someone said above it's probably 90% of the stock antenna.
