OMG, Boomhauer, someone finally got out the defibrillator and brought the thread back to life. I do admire your quality of craftsmanship, I am just not a big fan of removing seats in a vehicle to accommodate a custom enclosure or amp rack. I like something a little more stealth. But it is fun to watch you do a full on custom install. Im just hoping it wont take 5 more weeks for the next batch of photos.

You go through him for the soundskins too? And if so did you get a better rate ordering that many tubes at once?

no offense but i'd rather not. i wouldn't want to put james in a tough spot. i called and asked how many tubes i would need to cover the entire truck except the roof. inside and outside of the doors, rear wall and floor. he offered a nice savings right off the bat. just give him a call.

For the 8 tubes how much of the truck would that cover? That much would be 88ft^2, from my best calculations I approximated all 4 doors inside and out at 100% coverage right around 64ft^2 and then rear wall another 10.3ft^2 so right at 74.3 I could maybe get by with 7 tubes.

I used 101sf of dynamat on my truck - doors inside and outside skins, back wall and floor up to the pedals.

Yeah I saw your build page and you went all out. I don't have it in my budget to do the roof and floor right now so I just want to do the doors and rear wall. The quote I got for the soundskins from James was the same as their website so I am leaning towards Raammat. For a cheaper price I get full full CLD and CCF coverage for the doors and rear wall only downside is having an extra step to do in laying the ensolite.

That's comforting to see, I was guessing at 100 and just ordered my dynamat last night. Said I'd never do this again and I'd pay the shop to do it... ugh.
