Couldn’t figure out why my A/C button keeps turning off then green light comes on then goes off. Well after research and research I tried holding the button in while driving and it stayed on so I have wedged a pen too to hold it in and it’s staying on so how do I find the button or is there a sensor behind it in need to replace can’t find any info what to look up and purchase thanks 2004 tundra 2wd V8

Don't let a kid out smart you.
Not to Patronize you but do know that the AC light only comes on when the fan is on. If the light wont stay on in the on position. Probably a contact problem in the switch. Not an easy fix. Gotta pull that front panel off to replace or fix it.

If it is the switch itself that's faulty I do think it would have to come apart. If you get to any point and it won't go back together for some reason make sure if you buy a new bezel it's from the same year and same 2wd/4wd setup or you will have issues. There's a lot of these bezels that look identical but for whatever reason operate totally different.

it doesnt flash does it? flashing a/c light means somethings wrong with the system. at least i think these trucks were new enough for that.

Doesn’t flash it just with button pushes in it goes on and off as it pleases. Well I wedged that pen too in there early today and it works perfectly fine. Wondering if there is a switch behind that button that is bad

My shitbox 96 Camry has a flashing A/C light so it goes back that far at least.

A more obvious question, perhaps...does the AC run while the switch is pushed in, but the lamp is off?
