The RW would obviously be the easiest and most cost affective route.
There aren't too many options in a 295 size. Next step up would be a 305 70. Still puts me at 34" but a bit wider. I would have to run a spacer to clear the uca, which I'm not opposed too.

Badass! I'm saving to buy 5 rw wheels, I care about performance than looks, theyre the lightest wheel besides the expensive te volks, next is the fn bfd and methods. I wonder why Toyota discontinued them, theres a few for sale on tundra classifieds on facebook.

i know they are light and strong but if im being real my truck doesnt need the strongest wheel. im 95% pavement and my offroading will not require a 17" wheel. i do like them ive just always had a thing for the NVs.

Alright is is a few updates I have done recently. In no particular order:
Amp research steps with custom rock lights unsteady of the awful purple lights amp sends. So far this is the best thing I have done. Wife and kids can get in and out very easy now, it helps protect my seat from me sliding out and they just look great. I don't like the look of traditional steps and don't need a slider. So these fit the bill perfect.
Body mount chop. Self explanatory, used relentless fab plates. Cut and weld. I'm by no means a welder but I think they turned out great.
CB front shims. Added one per side and I think it's exactly what I wanted. Hopefully these coupled with the BMC will clear the way for the 295 70 18s I plan on running. Install was very easy minus removing the pro skid plate. Much easier than doing coilovers and spacers on my f150. Had it all aligned and the ride is great, don't think it changed at all.
That's all right now. Saving a little more to buy new wheels and tires. RW wheels will be up for sale with 285 70 17 duratracs soon. Hopefully that will be the last if the "big" mods.
Here are pics of the progress

Pretty stoked, ordered a new set of wheels and tires today! 18x9 method nv +25 wrapped with 295 70 18 toyo at2's. Got the best deal through DTD. the wheels needed to be ordered so I won't have them for another couple if weeks. I'll be sure to post up pics when the get here. Hopefully everything clears with my 1 shim up front along with the BMC. We shall see

I got 295/70/18’s with + 18’s Fuels. Don’t need BMC. I’m even going to try and put the stock rear mud flaps back on this weekend. Got a little rub on the front after taking of the front flaps. But I bought a heat gun and I am going to try to massage that out.

Here is a little teaser of the new wheel and tire set up. 18x9 method NV wheels with a +25 offset wrapped in 295 70 18 toyo at2 extreme all terrains. In preparation for this I did add a 1/2" spacer up front and did a BMC. After mounting them today is did push the front lines forward about and inch and everything clears now.
I have only driven around the block until the last wheel comes in tomorrow but so far I'm very impressed with the look. Can't wait to mount the rears. Here are some pics and comparison shots. For reference the other set up is a 17x8 RW wheel with a 285 70 17 Goodyear duratracs. Enjoy

Just curious you said spacer. Did you mean suspension spacer or wheel spacer?

A single 1/2" coachbuilder shim on each side for suspension. No wheel spacers.

    a few small updates:
i had the front windows tinted with 18% ceramic tint. surprised it took me so long to do this!
next is i bought a trd air flow accelerator and trd air filter. now im not looking to pick up any real hp but the new parts cant hurt anything. beats the hell out of buying a CAI and im pretty sure i have achieved the same results. havent had a chance to check fuel mileage yet so ill report back it i see any changes
lastly i installed a new set up in the rear for towing. it combines a couple of parts so i can have a great everyday ride and be able to carry weight when i need it. i bought a timbren ses kit and some wheelers off road super bumps. the timbren brackets will installed prematurely and i will switch between the super bums and the timbren spring when needed. i only tow 3-4 times a year so the switch isnt often and when i do it only takes about 10 mins to do it. i used timbrens on my last f150 and they were great but you can definitely feel when they engage. i didnt want to sacrifice the plush ride or wheel trave of my pro so i figured this was the best route to go. towed about 6k this weekend and they worked perfect. swapped back out for today and ride is back to normal. ideal set up
ill get some pics of everything up soon

Maybe not a "mod" but I found a great deal on a a full size spare today. Not the same brand but it's a 295 70 18 nitto terra grappler g2 that I scored for $40. Can't beat that. So I removed the spare tire brackets so it would fit, man are those things a pain in the ass. But it's all done and I don't have to worry about mismatch sizes

Great looking rig and I love the side steps. I’m seriously considering getting those. I don’t care for the look of the regular ones either.

Thanks. Yeah I don't like the way running boards look on any truck. Before power steps were a thing I just went without steps and now every truck I have had has power ones. Looks so much cleaner with them

I owe this thread an update with all the new goodies I have installed lately, I'll get to that soon.
Buy I got to play in the mud a little today pulling out a host of people who aren't aware that their cars/trucks aren't built for the mud. 3 and cars and, drum roll please, an f150 with the incredible pirelli tires. The toyo at2s did great and more than enough power from the 5.7
I know everyone enjoys pics so here she is all dirty

Was feeling patriotic yesterday so I decided it was time to add to the truck. Wife is pretty crafty so I requested her help. Found a design I liked and loaded up the cricut machine. Not to bad for a few mins of work. Hard to tell in the truck pic but its red. Matches the brakes, tow hooks and coilovers ect...

Thanks bro. I did like the rock warriors but didn't love them. Ran into a local guy that really wanted them so we made a deal. The new wheel and tire combo is what I wanted, even before I bought the truck.
Check out the tundra classifieds on facebook, they pop up from time to time on there

So I haven't updated this thread in a while, really didnt have anything to post. Finally gave the ole girl some love with a few upgrades. The biggest being some seat heaters, also did some vinyl work.
Now I know what your thinking, why does a south Louisiana truck need seat heaters? Well we take family road trips in this truck and lately my back has been bothering me and they just feel good! Used a dorman kit, got good reviews on Amazon. Install was straight forward. Connected them to the factory seat heater wiring so they are just like factory now. So far they work great and for a total of $70 and about 4hrs of time I feel like my truck is caught up with the times.
The wife has a cricut so doing vinyl stuff is convenient now. Did American flag overlay on the front grill and also gave my truck an accessory, a matching yeti! Stole the idea from someone on here and my wife made it happen.
Didnt take any pics if the seat install but there are a ton on here.

Added a simple yet effective mod today, did the diff vent mod. Used the Toyota fitting along with some vac hose up to the tail light area. I had a breather sitting around from an old car build so I used that to filter stuff coming into the hose. Im $26 all in with some hose to spare
