@jmevis where did you put your ground? Any ground loop noise for you?

Surprised your HU works without running the ground cable, now I’m wondering if it’s even needed.

Just got this system in the mail today. I'm wiring in the multi-cam switcher and the truck accessory module as well. Quick question: did you use the mic that came with the unit, or does the stock mic plug in via a harness connection in the back?

@916tundra Installed my front facing camera yesterday. I went with a different one from Amazon from what I linked previously. It looks stock which I like. Also here is a pic of the app (bottom left) in fact all 3 apps in that bottom row showed up on their own after I messed with the Car Factory Settings on the HU.

@jmevis Looking good! I have not installed a front camera yet because I am thinking of adding a side view camera for parallel parking too but I won’t do so until I figure out if I want tow mirror or not. If you have multiple cameras, you will need switches.

@916tundra The cable works! I went ahead and installed the carplay adapter behind the HU too. Can you tell me what app you use to get carplay to work?

I tested this and the phone will charge plugged in to the OEM usb port. I haven't tried to play anything through it yet. Im just assuming its working since it now charges the phone. And the adapter lights up.

@jmevis The app is AutoPlay, one of the preloaded apps on the HU

@jmevis the way you have it plugged in is into the factory cable that is not connected to the HU so that’s why it doesn’t work. There is power but no data transfer. You have to use the HU usb.

Yeah. But I think the adapter I bought is supposed to use the factory usb cable. After I installed the adapter the factory usb connection will now charge the phone. I’ll try this later today.

How do you adjust the gain on the stock amp? I’ve already replaced all speakers, and a 10” JL sub. It sounds great, but I’m happy to fine tune the amp

Ok I went in to settings and enabled car play but I still don't have the app. Nor is there one in the play store that is called that. I did figure out how to keep the volume up when in reverse though. Settings > Car > Extra Settings > Reversing Volume.

Also for what ever reason when one of my rear doors opened the display would show the opposite door open, and I found that setting under factory features so that's now fixed.

I did see something about customer version 1 or 2? Under the factory settings?

Another question... Have you tried playing netflix, hulu, Amazon prime video on your HU? Mine loads these and then says there is an issue and wont play videos. But youtube works fine. I have even tried to just go to hulu through chrome and it takes me all the way to where is should play and then spits out an error.

Unfortunately the only way is to change out the head unit. The stock unit has no ability to control the amp.
