Well, all kinds of things going on slowly between the real, paying jobs. Thought I'd go for a new look.naked.jpg
    primed.jpg

    contour change.jpg Painted glass.jpg New blue.jpg

Of course it's going to rain at the end of this week, beginning of next so a little delay before I can paint the cab.
Then I'll start fabbing up a new front bumper.

Yeah Colin, this paint seems really easy to work with so if I pinstripe the hell out of it,,,,,when,,,,, should be easy to respray.

Thanks Sunny. I've begun wet sand the doors, just have to wait for the weather to shoot it.

It's actually pretty dang easy. And, if you screw up.... just sand it off and try again. First thing is spraying primer which sands really easily. That's a great way to learn about the pattern (fan) of your gun so that you get a good overlap with each pass. I'll bet you can find a good Utube U class online and figure it out.

You paint those before you put them on the truck? How’d you suspend them?

Yes, off the truck. There are spots that just won't get painted it they're on the truck. I just put them on a makeshift double 2x6 and sawhorse bench. I'll probably end up wet sanding them again and spraying one more time when I spray the cab.

Thanks Matt. I don't know why but your post reminded me that I should probably update a couple things like the fridge install and the hot shower that have happened recently.

Started building a new front bumper. And, as a bonus, finally found that annoying rattle.

It would probably save you some time by just making 2 now. Instead of having to make a whole nother one for me later.

You should probably wait 'til I've hacked together at least 5 of 'em so you have a chance at ending up with a semi decent one.
