Yeah, but that's 'cause you're on a sanctioned maternity leave... ;) Not 'cause they decided to go the day AFTER you came home from there.:notsure: I mean really,,,,,,,,,,,, my feet aren't that dirty.

Sorry you couldn't make it Matt. We'll have to go back and spend several days, there's lots to explore and play around with. You could spend more than a day on Bald Mtn alone.

I received a new tranny skid plate from Desert Eagle. This is also an anti theft deterrent for you Catalytic converters, cheap, functional insurance. Originally I saw a post by @joonbug about this and recently @Vizsla posted a pic of one he just mated up to RCI engine skids. I was really hesitant to do business with someone who's advertising almost exclusively on Face Book. But, as it turns out, he's a super nice guy and the transaction went very smoothly. Skid mark on pavers courtesy of the Fed Ex delivery guy.

I like mine, little bit of work adapting to the engine skid. Also junked the hardware for grade 8 bolts and thick washers.

Nice install! I was thinking about whether I wanted to use all four bolts or reduce to 2 bolts where the DE and RCI mate. Now I know for sure, gotta keep up with the Jones's. Everything is temp fitted so I can scribe it, pull it out and cut/ drill it. Nice clean cutouts you made for the DE bolts.
BTW, I think you're working too much. I can tell 'cause your truck is waaay too clean.:D

How thick is it compared to the RCIs? My RCIs are already bashed in.

This is supposed to be flat. :(5B9198D4-7375-4870-A0EE-841BA4928413.jpg

Exactly the same, 10 ga steel. Mine aren't quite as badly bent but I'm having a heck of a time lining up holes to reinstall.:sawzall:

Man,,,,, I wish you'd gotten that RC. I hope to hear the stories you mentioned about the latest work. Do I dare even ask why the truck's on blocks? I think you said you were modifying the suspension ........ after all?

Like @boardude I just got rid of the ghetto pro and upgraded to the Switch Pros. I'm not much of a follower, nor much of a leader for that matter. But I definitely march to my own drum so this install is a little different than most I've seen.
I don't use the brake controller so I wrapped it in foam and and secured it to a heating duct, out of the way behind the dash. I made a block-out plate from some re-purposed ABS plastic and mounted the switches to it and to the OEM dash part using the (slightly modified) SP supplied hardware.

I couldn't bring myself to mount the switch pro on the fuse box cover as I've often seen done. It's not yet completely cleaned up but this is where it is at present. I used some double sided carpet tape to temporarily hold it in place on the inner fender while I checked fitment. I left the tape in place after screwing it in place as a damper. I made a couple stand offs for the distribution block to create space for wires.IMG_20180903_190134125.jpg

Great install! Any worries about the positive wires being exposed on the block? Or does it get covered?

Make sure you change the default password so people don't screw with your switch pro's

Yep, the exposed dist. block is a concern and I plan to make or have made a cover. I'm surprised that Blue Sea doesn't make a cover for this??? There's a small plastic shop nearby and I'll have a chat with them about what and how to create a cover.

I left my trigger wire disconnected. If you want to wire it to a reverse switch/high beam/parking light you would just connect accordingly. I kept all my lights/radio controlled off the switch pro..
Programming through Bluetooth would be easiest.
