I appreciate it! Truck looks great by the way. Did you end up messing around with a diff drop?

Thanks! No diff drop. But I’m sitting on 285/75r17 and I experienced rubbing on full turn for both front tires. I had to remove the front mud flaps and use a heat gun to push the front plastic forward a bit. Hope this helps

Question for those running 2 CB shims on the driver side. Anyone have a pick of the bolts/nuts on top of the coil over? I’ve got 1 CB shim on the driver side but going to add another. Just curious as to what the studs/nuts look like after adding the second.
Current setup is 6112 on 1.9 setting, 1 CB shim. CB+1’s in the back and Nitto Ridge Graps 285/70/18

Future setup - adding 2 more shims in the front and going to +2’s in the back with carrier bearing drop. Have Bora 1.25 spacers and will be putting on 295/70/18 Ridge Graps when the current tires wear out.

I don't know who needs to hear this but all these trucks are different.

These are the different configurations I've had to go through to get the truck level.
1st, 1.9 setting with a .50 spacer on the drivers side. Result = .50 inches low on the drivers side. (This is what everyone recommends)
2nd, 1.9 setting with a .50 and .25 spacer on the drivers side. Result = .25 low on the drivers side. (This wasn't bad but it still looked low to the eye and was softer feeling then the passenger side. The soft feeling is what made me unsatisfied.)
3rd, 2.5 setting plus a .25 spacer on the drivers side. Result = .25 high on the drivers side. (With me in it, it is completely level. Also, Getting the front driver side higher evened out the right rear as well. I don't have a lean at all even the the tank is full.) It rides great.

Anyone that has owned a Tacoma and has put Bilstein's on will know that they recommend two different heights. I wish they would have written that in the directions for the tundra. I would have saved a lot of time.
    Hopefully it helps someone..

I have a question. I have flipped through most of these pages and didn’t see an answer but that doesn’t mean one isn’t posted somewhere. I have a 2015 Toyota Tundra crewmax. Right now I have spacer lift on front and blocks in the back. If I out the Bilistein 6112’s and 5160’s on my truck does that replace the spacer lift? Might sound like a dumb question but I have never messed with any lift before.

Yes, the space lift will come out with your existing struts.

None to day....that’s why I’m here.
The bilstien will take the place in the front, but not the back.

Is it ok to leave the block on the back with the new shocks?

You should be fine with the block in the back. You would have to use a block or longer shackles to get lift anyway since shocks don’t actually add lift by themselves.

Installed my 6112s at 1.9 with a coachbuilder shim on each side. Getting alignment done now. Also installed diff drop which was more of as pain than the shocks. That driver side nut is a biatch to install. Not even sure I needed the drop or if it really seems to have done anything but it’s up there now. Tires later this week and pics to follow. Oh, still need to install rear components to lift it 1.5 back there but that will be for another day.

Depends on how you like the stance now vs how you want the stance to be. Let's say you get 6112s to lift the front 2", have a 2" block in the rear, and like OEM rake. Then you won't have to change a thing!

We do have 6112/5160s on the shelf here at Hotshot Offroad if you haven't sourced them yet!

Here's my setup! 6112/5160 with the fronts on the top setting with 2 Coachbuilder shims on the driver's side and one passenger, Freedom Off-road UCAs, Toytec diff drop and carrier bearing drop, and soon Pro Form Fab lift shackles (if they ever ship). 17x8.5 +35 AlphaEquipt Echos and 37x12.5r17 Kanati Trail Hogs. Very little rub on the driver side fender liner, but not much.

6112 on lowest .75” setting. I measured approximately 1.25” of lift. I have about a 1.25” rake, it’s perfect for me. It’s rides a lot better, very happy.

So, I started out with a cheap 2" leveling spacer with a .5" coachbuilder shim for the lean up front and I had a set of coachbuilder +1 shackles in the rear. This had me sitting with a 1" rake and only about 1/8" lean. Pretty perfect I'd say. But it did have a slight rub on the body mount when at full lock in reverse. And if I did any off roading it would frequently rub. Here's what that looked like.

So I decided it was time to upgrade. And I wanted the improved performance and ride quality I read so much about in this thread. And of course, I wanted to eliminate the rub. So I purchased the 6112s pre assembled at 2.5; figuring that should lift the front .5" from where it already was. Turns out it somehow lifted the front close to 1.5 inches and increased the lean to about 3/8". So now I'm sitting 3/8" high in the front. So I'm going to lower the 6112s to the 1.9 setting and see what that looks like and also add a .25" shim to the driver's side. Here's the current look. I think it looks level, but I know it's slightly nose high.

Lookin to do the same set up, except run the Icon RXT option 2 since I got about 415 lbs constant load in the back. What shocks you running in the back with your RXT leafs? Stock?

Got it dialed in I think. The stock coils were definitely compensating for some lean right from the factory. I think my truck has more than average. I ended up having to set the passenger side at 1.3 and then set the driver's side to 1.9 plus 3/4" worth of coachbuilder shims to end up with no lean on a full tank of gas. Now with the CB +1 shackles in the rear, I have a 5/8" rake and no rub on my 295/70-18 Falken AT3Ws on Method NVs with +25 offset. I only got one crappy cell pic after finishing it up today.
