Going back and forth on a couple things and would appreciate input from the group. As soon as I can get my hands on them I will be installing 6112s at the 1.9” setting. I’ve got some 17” Icon Vectors (+25) that I’d really like to go either 295/70 or 285/75. Do you think I’d have issues with clearance on either?

The truck looks awesome. I’m going for a similar set up. What setting are the 6112’s at? Any rubbing? Did you do any cutting or chopping? Do you have any pictures of the poke? Thanks.

Sitting on 6112's (top notch) and 5160's w/a Deaver add-a-leaf sandwiched in the OEM leaf pack. Factory UCA's, no diff drop or shims needed. I have the OEM Rock Warrior wheels w/35x12.5r17 Toyos. I really like this suspension. The ride is firm and but not too firm. It's great on the street and better than stock off-road. I have owned Kings on a previous Tacoma, and those are significantly better (yeah, no shit). I would like to upgrade to Kings eventually. However, I believe coming down one notch on the front coils and upgrading front/rear bump stops to Timbrens would do wonders for the ride quality while off-road.

I also have this theory I would like to play out.....swap the 6112's & 5160's for a set of new TRD Pro Fox Shocks. My gut tells me it would be smooth as butter off-road with a set of Timbren bump stops. I could be wrong...

Thanks! Nothing, I removed the center caps. The caps were faded, peeling, and just a mess. Gonna paint them sooner or later and throw them back on.

So my truck is sitting on third setting (1.9) 2 spacers on the drivers side, 1 on the passenger. 5100’s in the rear with CB +2 shackles. I’m still a 1/2 inch lower on the drivers side. Anybody got an idea as to why?

Maybe it has something to do with the rear lift and the effect on geometry? I have driver side at 1.9 and passenger at 1.3 - no rear lift and it is level. No issues with the staggered setting that I can tell.

    Not sure at this point.
I don't think it's recommended to have both sides at different heights. The reason why the driver side adds the shims are to compensate for the gas tank and heavy battery...

Thanks. Yes I have heard that as well. Initially I had both sides at 1.3 setting; after alignment and settling I had a lean so instead of shimming I had the drivers side bumped to 1.9. I have had it at these settings for a few years with no issues. Rides good, level, aligned well. When I purchased the shocks I also purchased 3 Coachbuilder shims and +2 shackles- Never ended up using those. Had some solid guidance from Dirty Deeds and spoke wit Accutune. I believe the Bilstein for the Tacoma are designed to be staggered- not a 100% on that. The plan is go Fox or Kings when these are spent and adjust accordingly.

00B17FE4-439E-4C6D-B3F1-E6A367D9CEF1.jpg Have been running my setup for about 6 months now and absolutely love it. 6112’s set at 1.9 with a CB shim on the driver’s side. No lift in the rear with 5160’s. Running Anthem Viper 18x9 0 offset wheels with 295/65r18 Duratracs. No body mount chop. Just had to heat mold the mudflaps a bit and the bumper plastic. The tiny bit of rub still left is hardly noticeable.

Just installed 6112s top setting and Falken Wildpeak AT3 on MR 316. Slight rub on mud flaps so they’re gone now. Gained some height and lost MPGs- Love hate relationship but I’m digging it.

I'm kind of doing something like that, 6112s on the front with some Eibach coils (I know they aren't supposed to fit... I figured out a way) and some TRD Pro fox rear shocks... I'd love to slap timbrens on them, but they're so dang expensive considering you need to buy 2 sets for just the front

Anyone went from 5100 to 6112?

is there a huge difference in ride quality?

trimming the rubber around the top hat to the coilovers, this should allow them to fit, haven't tested it just yet, parts are still sitting on my workbench

I'm gonna post pics when I do it, alternatively, you could also actually grind down the inside of the coilover and remove some metal

theres actually a decent amount of clearance if removing the rubber on the wall of the cap and not the top, you could either trim it down, or cut it off and maybe then wrap in electrical tape... you shouldn't run too much issue of metal on metal because the gap on either side should be about 1/8"+ if I remember right

the stance and look with the 18's I'm looking for! This truck looks like it can do work. not a pavement princess. I got my 34" but on my 20's and my 6112's going on tomorrow.

I keep going back and forth on what I'd like to do with my truck. Anybody have any input or pics on how a crewmax 4x4 would look with 6112s at the third clip (1.9 inches) and Icon add-a-leaf pack (1.5 inches) in the rear and 285/70R17 tires?
