Just got an alignment. Had to ask twice for this print out as if they didn't want me to have it. But it rides much better. Guess they didn't take a before reading o_O

Thanks for posting that, I will take mine in again to get it looked at. The springs must have settled because it pulls to the right now that I have a few thousand miles on the setup.

What step bars are those ? I have the predator bars from Toyota which I liked the look of at first but I feel like the steps hang down so low. Yours have a similar look but appear to not be as much of a drop, unless its an optical illusion on my part.

Question about this setup and UCAs.
Going with 6112s @ 2.5 in front with 2 1/2in spacers on driver, 1 1/2in spacer on passenger. I see some people run UCAs, some don't. Are they needed? Does it help with rub on this setup?

Seems to me like it’s more based on how you use the truck. The more off-roading or rough roads you drive the more I would recommend aftermarket UCA’s. If you mostly drive pavement and don’t need the extra travel or spring clearance you should be fine. At 3” of lift you will be close to running out of alignment adjustment but most people get pretty close with stock UCA. Personally I like to just get it all done right the first time and I off-road a fair amount so went with JBA UCA’s. At nearly 3.5” of lift with my previous OME coils and stock UCA I had run out of alignment and the tires were wearing on the outside edges. Tires are not cheap!

I ran an OME lift on my Tacoma which was right at that lift height where some did UCAs and some did not. I chose to try without, and I had bad darting on the highway and the steering was super sensitive. Ended up having to go with UCAs and get another alignment. Guess I will plan to go with UCAs in this case.

    Guys,
Started buying items and now after seeing how perfect the 6112's @1.9 and no rear lift look, I am a little scared I have gone too high. I have purchased 6112 @2.5 with a 1/2in shim on each side, and +3 CB rear shackles on 285/70/18 tires.

No, these steps do not drop down. The step bars mount up very close to the frame, to help minimize gaps which helps with ground clearance. I did have it line-x to make it more durable. Brand is Iron Cross HD Steps. Hope this helps.

The center caps are from the 16" TRD beadlock wheels; FJ Cruiser, Tacoma Baja Edition. They fit the SCS wheels no problem. But I heard Toyota discontinued that part. Might be lucky to find a set on ebay.

You should be great. I have the same except only 1.9 on the front. I have a decent take, but it mostly disappears with weight in the back. When I have my canopy on it is perfect. I wasn't going for level, so you should be very happy.

Shock Surplus seems to be getting shipments in on a consistent basis but selling out within 24 hours. Give them a call

I got my 6112 last week from 4 wheel parts. Free shipping and was $100 off if you spent $1000 or more which was easy to do after adding in the 5160’s

How much did everyone’s 6112’s settle after install? How quickly does it settle?
I got about an inch more than expected. Hope it simmers down a bit!

I have a 2018 Tundra DC TRD Off Road. Still has stock all around with 4100 suspension and stock Michelin 275/65/R18 tires. Planning to go with Falken A/T3W 285/70/R17 with Method 313's after suspension is done.

Just purchased assembled 6112 Bilstein strut/coil set to top setting 2.5". Looking to go with 5100's in the rear with cb +3 shackles.

My current rake is 2-1/4". 35" up front, 37-1/4" in the rear. Driver side front is actually 34-3/4", pass side front is 35". Thinking I'll add 1/4" cb spacer to driver side to adjust for slight lean and go with +3 cb shackles in back.

Is my below math correct in that I'm thinking of this setup would give me a 1-1/2" rake?

    Front: 35+2.5=37.5
    Rear: 37.25+1.75=39

    Thanks in advance!
