I had to change the exhaust hanger at the tailpipe for a longer one. Didn't even test drive with stock it was really close
Trd rear sway bar will hit overload leaf at full droop, hasn't happened driving yet. I also rotated the sway bar mounts to hold the swaybar on the rear of the axle.
Also have cb drop, dif drop, and sway bar spacer.
Spc upper control arms at D setting. When installing slide the nut more to the outside. I put it center and at the end of the alignment, the front wheels were noticably further in the wheel wells than the rears. (Didn't leave it like that)

Wheels are 18x9 +20 fuel shok
    Cooper at3 xlt 295/70
Bought from tirerack with tpms installed. Very easy to calibrate new tpms following owners manual.
Removed front mudflaps and front splash guard. Pushed the forward inner fender forward and drilled new mounting holes to hold it forward.

Even with dif drop my cv angles are kind of harsh. Will consider removing a shim on each side after letting the coilovers settle.

Anyone run 6112’s up front and stock TRD offroads in the rear? Was thinking of doing that. Probably gonna only set the 6112’s at 1.3 so it will still fit in the garage.

crazy how a 3" lift on Tundra's make 35's look small. I had a fully built '14 Tacoma before my current Tundra, and I had to saw all kinds to allow my suspension to fully cycle on 33's.

should be fine if you don't modify the rear suspension with AAL/shackles. but if you're getting 6112's, you'll definitely notice a difference even with a cheap upgrade to 5100's in the rear (and no additional lift).

your truck has a nice stance though. I had the Icons on my Tacoma before swapping out the whole pack, and I loved it. I see so many mixed reviews on the Icon mini pack, from bad fitment into the stock pack to 0"-0.5" of lift or >1.5" of lift. I'm guessing it's just due to the blanket fitment (i.e. 2007+) and the differences in weight of each model. if I can get 1" rear lift on my CM, I'd be happy.

If you don’t want the mini pack, I went with Toytec shackles and have been happy. Currently set at 1” but have a 1.5” as well. This is at the 1.9” up front and 275/70. Not the best photo since it’s on a down slope but gives you an idea of the rake which is close to 1” after measuring

Ha. I heard that about the garage door clearance. I had similar concerns. Fortunately, mine is having no clearance issues in height. I just wish my garage was 14 ft. wider and 10 ft. deeper. I don't see any problem with running the stock TRD sport shocks in combo with the 6112's. The height will be the same. If the rear feels soft afterward, you can always add 5100's or 5160's later. I think the benefit is in the 6112's up front.

I literally have 4 inches to the roof and probably 10 inches in the front after I back into the garage. I do have a workbench in the back that I’m gonna move to get more space but I can’t do much about the height.

For comparison, I have standard 7' garage door opening. With the 6112's set at highest setting (2.5") and with the 285/70 R18 tires, my 2018 has a max height of 80". So, I have 4" clearance for entering the garage. The Falkens added about 1" to the height over the OEM Michelins. I didn't record the height of the truck before adding the Icon MiniPack to the rear springs. But, it increased measurement between the top of the tire and the fender by 1.25".

Seriously. It looks more proportional in person though. I wouldn't go any bigger without a cab mount chop and moving or replacing the front bumper. Right now I'm still rubbing the front inner fender just barely while backing up and turning and I'm getting very close (about a half inch) to the cab mount. This truck won't see any level of off-road like i did with my tacoma though. So just needs to be enough to not rub on road.

Also my 295/70/18 spare fit snugly under the bed. Just had to bend one of the brackets that guide the spare up. Used a jack and a stack of lift spacers to just jack up on the bracket to bend it.

My 05 tacoma on 285s had to have lot's cut up to not rub too. Ended up with all pro bumpers in the end (and because of a deer...) Never seemed to have issue with being close to the cab mount at all. Maybe i got lucky. It's at .85 front lift now still with the 285s. Had to put the spc arms adjusted all the way forward. I'm sure my alignment sucks but it barely leaves the backroads now.

thanks for the info/feedback. I’m gonna measure my garage opening again when I get home. My door hangs a little low so maybe I’ll take to a garage door installer that I know about trying to fix that. I’d really like to add a couple inches up front to even level out the truck.

Need everyone's advice. I am looking to install 6112/5160 combo at top setting, shim on each side, shackle on the back, and upgraded UCA's.

I was quoted ~$1,000 for install and alignment. This is my first truck so I am unsure if this is a fair price, seems a little high to me as its just for labor.

I am unsure if I can do the install of everything myself, mainly due to limited tooling and not a tremendous amount of experience on vehicles other than brakes.

Is this a decent quote for install or continue to look around? This shop really is the only option for correct alignment but others out there in my area to call for install.

I know in the DFW area most places charge about 100 an hour, but just doing 6112s/5160s shouldn't take them long. I would expect 4 hours max plus cost for alignment.

The guy quoted 3 hours for the front and 3 for the back, which seemed like a lot but wasn't real sure. Not sure if that's due to the UCA's, diff drop kit, and shackle. He mentioned it could be difficult to get the bushings out but since it was a brand new truck he hoped it wouldn't.

Hi! Just wanted to share the 6112 at 1.3 setting with no shim. Got a 1/2 inch lean tought. Removed mud flap and pushed the front liner but no rub on body mounts. Stock uca and 295 70 18 on 18×9 et 25 methods. Rear is stock no lift but with pro comp 2.5 resi instead of 5160. Wanted a rear 2.5 without breaking the bank.

What did you do with the rear setup? Did you do need to do the Diff drop, carrier bearing drop kit, and bump stop extensions?

Your truck is exactly what I am looking for and would prefer to not have to put new UCA's on just yet.

5160s in the rear with toytec shackles set at 1.5” for a rake, which I prefer for towing and hauling and to keep all the sensors happy.

Haven’t bothered to do bumpstops yet, but I’m sure will replace at some point. No drops either

question with 37x12.5R20 what kind of fuel economy you get? That looks sick! Do you notice any power loss?

Got my 6112/5160 set up on with SCS Stealth Custom SR8 wrapped in 285/75r18 Goodyear Duratracs. I got new top hats for the 6112s at 1.9, and got 1.5” uniball camburg UCAs above that. Slapped on two CB .5” shims on driver side and one CB .5” on passenger side. Rear is also sitting on a deaver mini pack.

Carrier drop, diff drop and SDHQ body mount chop to get it all running right.

Plan was to install it all before a big birthday trip, but ran short on time and went to a local, reputable shop.

When I picked her up, I got these parts back and am now wondering if they forgot to put the new top hat bushing on top of the strut assembly when putting the new 6112s together. Or, are these extras? Can’t figure out how that’d happen, or how I wouldn’t have noticed by now, but also can’t ignore that these are sitting right in front of me.

First some glamour shots, then some height and alignment numbers, and finally the parts I need help with.

It’s been awhile since I did my install but those look like the parts for the 5160 bushings in the rear to me. Will send photos shortly for reference.

The rear? Where would those bushings and washers go?

Better pics of the parts and mounted rear shocks for reference.
