6112's on top setting with Boss shims, 1.5 inch shackles, 5160's in rear. 305/70r18 KO2's, Method Grid 0 offset.
I don't have a leaf pack in the rear. Just 1.5 shackles with stock leafs. The ride is excellent, much more firm/stiff but very controlled. I feel bumps or imperfections in the road but there is NO "aftershake" due to the shocks absorbing it like champs. I couldn't be happier with this set up. I got more ground clearance than I was expecting, which I love.

With these large of tires there was all kinds of rubbing so I had a trusted shop do the body mount chop, bumper trim and mold the plastics. Now I have rubbing only at full lock in reverse which I'll likely just trim more off the bumper or live with it until I throw on a new front bumper (my next mod). I need to measure but I'd say there is about 1-2 inches of tire past the wells but it sits about flush with my runner steps currently on it. passenger rear offset wiped.jpg driver side offset from rear.jpg

The smaller option would give you least rub but I went with the 305's and couldn't be happier. It doesn't take much to fit them and if you're seeking height then I believe the 305/70 would give you the most. I'd use a tire calculator like the one on the beginning of this thread, I think, and that'll tell you true heights and everything you could want to know.

Can't wait! Got a trip at the end of the month to test them out ... if i can get them on in time.

I bought the plates off SDHQ just in case too. May just bite the bullet and get them installed just in case. I'm guessing only a body shop would do it right?

I've heard that. Not uncommon for AALs in general but I'm going to keep my overload spring which should keep them sturdy for longer. Just hoping they'll give me about an inch after they settle.

Heard that about the Duratracs .. though high reviews on quality as well. KO2s are my favorite tire but I was more set on size and weight than on brand this time around.

Anybody else with an opinion on my earlier post (6 above)?

I can't comment on the Deaver's, but have a similar "leveling" kit going on my '18. I went with 6112/5100 combo. The 6112's set at 2.5" top setting. Added the Icon Mini Pack to the back. This added 1.5" increase to rear height. This has given me about 1.25" higher in the back than in the front. I had this all installed by a local 4x4 suspension shop and they made the recommendations and the outcome is to my liking. Stock UCA's and no differential drop. Easy front end alignment back to spec. Tires are 295/70. YMMV :cool:F1DDD412-623B-4102-939A-A5256500EAA3_1_201_a.jpg

6112/5100. 1.3 setting or 2nd notch from the bottom (for ride and slight rake). 20x9.5 25 Black Rhino Everest’s. 285/55/20 KO2’s. The 6112’s were the best decision I made over 5100’s up front. Great ride! The only thing I had to do was remove those little front plastic flaps. Wheels stick out about an inch. Minor rubbing full crank reverse only.

Set at 2.5", no shims. had to trim the front inner liner of the bumper. that was it.

Are you running stock UCA's even with two driver side shims and one passenger side?

Anyone know at what point you need to upgrade to aftermarket UCA's? Also, if I plan on 6112/5160 with top setting in front with two shims driver side and one passenger side I need to also have the carrier bearing drop kit, dif drop kit, and bump stop extensions?

Yessir, I was able to get away with stock UCA's and save some money there. I'll upgrade eventually but no need to right away. I don't think you ever "have to" upgrade with this mild of a lift but it'll make alignment easier plus look great. I did run it without the carrier drop kit for a week, noticed slight driveshaft vibration which went away after the drop kit. diff drop is recommended at this height but not necessary. I havent put mine on yet but will soon. Really just depends what you're putting the truck through and how hard you run it. I'd save those expensive front shocks with the bump stop extensions for sure to avoid over compressing them but again, depends on how hard you run it etc. There's a great kit from BOSS that includes all of the above mentioned parts, which I bought. Couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Looks like only a small handful of members running this set up at 1.3..I’m looking to only gain a small lift while improving the dampening on trails and crappy roads. Looking for a modest lift to help clear tires. I’m looking at 275/70r18’s Toyo AT3’s...my question is that the wheels I’m looking at have an offset of 18 (method 314’s or kmc 542)...with this tire size and wheel offset, will I have any major rub issues at 1.3 setting? Thx!

@StreamerJunkie505 I had mine set at 1.3 and ended up adjusting driver side to 1.9 to counter the lean- it came out great with zero handling issues. The rear is stock height with 5160s. I just got Method 701s (0 offset) and Mickey Thompson ATZs (33.2" x 12") 295/70r17. She is trail ready - Stance is great - Aggressive look achieved. I removed the small "air dam" flaps in front of tires. I had some rub on wheel well liner- trimmed with shears and moved them forward and no more rub; slight rub on mud flaps but no worries. Love it. This look perfect! Wow...I love the 701’s and is actually my second choice in wheels. Very capable looking rig, not flashy, simple and purposeful, great stance indeed. I too came from Tacomaworld and the new gen 6112’s for tacomas require you to stagger the settings to account for the lean. Glad it worked for your tundra. Your tire size is a smidge taller and almost an inch wider than my 275/70r18’s I’m looking at and you have minimal scraping...I have no problems with heat gun and flap removal . I think I should be fine then with the 18 offset...thanks a ton!

6112’s (top clip), 5160’s, and Ray10’s on 275/70’s. planning on adding the Icon progressive AAL and going up to 285/70’s. currently measures .25" lower in the rear (hub to fender). really wondering if the 1.5" in the rear is going to be too much though...

Looks good! I bet a Coachbuilder + 1 shackle (.625" lift) would bring it pretty damn level. Maybe if you tow or haul you could bump shale size up?

My photo skills are not skilled... An almost side shot...Really I think this is how stock Tundras should be- stance/ tire wise.

Your proposed setup is the same that I have (6112's in front at top setting and 5100's rear). I found the addition of the Icon Mini-Pack leafs added about 1.25" giving me a slight rake. Overall height increased a bit over 3" all around including the taller tires. I'm running 295/70's. The ride is subtly stiffer than the factory.

I had to change the exhaust hanger at the tailpipe for a longer one. Didn't even test drive with stock it was really close
Trd rear sway bar will hit overload leaf at full droop, hasn't happened driving yet. I also rotated the sway bar mounts to hold the swaybar on the rear of the axle.
Also have cb drop, dif drop, and sway bar spacer.
Spc upper control arms at D setting. When installing slide the nut more to the outside. I put it center and at the end of the alignment, the front wheels were noticably further in the wheel wells than the rears. (Didn't leave it like that)

Wheels are 18x9 +20 fuel shok
    Cooper at3 xlt 295/70
Bought from tirerack with tpms installed. Very easy to calibrate new tpms following owners manual.
Removed front mudflaps and front splash guard. Pushed the forward inner fender forward and drilled new mounting holes to hold it forward.

Even with dif drop my cv angles are kind of harsh. Will consider removing a shim on each side after letting the coilovers settle.
