Question for all: I’ll be installing 6112 @ 1.9 and 5160 at stock height on my ‘19 CM in the next few weeks. Is the driver side shim necessary at that height? It seems much more common when the 6112’s are at top setting, but will I experience lean at 1.9”?

Have you called David at Ekstrom design? He’s an awesome source of lift knowledge.

    Well, the time is near!

On the way is a set of 6112/5160's plan to set 6112 at top setting, unless I chicken out! Really don't want to have to explain to the wife I need UCA's.
Will be putting 2 CB shims on the drive side and 1 on the pass side, +3 CB shackles. Plan to run my current TRD 18in wheels wrapped in stock Michelin 275 65 18, but go to 285 75 18 in a few months. I hope it all works out as planned and Mr. Murphy keeps his little arse at bay! Will post before, during and after pics along the way.

Anyone know of a better price for the below? It seems like a good deal.

Finally pulled the trigger on 6112 (2nd to the top setting) front and 5160 rear. Noticed that there's a 1 inch tundra lean on the driver side. Looking for advise that will not damage anything. Not planning on doing any heavy duty off roading. TIA

Check out Coachbuilder, they have shims that fix the lean, I’ve got 2 on my drivers side and 1 on my passenger side. I was only leaning 0.5”. The shims are 1/2” each.

So the shims just go on the front? If so then what goes on the rear. Also, i noticed since leveling whenever I turn the wheel all the way there's a creaking sound. Is that something I should be worried about?

The rear you can do blocks, shackles or add a leaf spring. I’m using Coachbuilder +3 shackles which gives me around 1.75” for the back. As far as the noise, I’ve heard guys say it’s been the skid plate or the lower control arm need to be tightened, also obviously re torque all other parts, hopefully you’ll find the culprit, although my 15 tundra made lots of noise up front after lifting but my 18 has been quiet.

That's the set up I did on my uncles truck last month ......I did the same as mine 6112s in front with 2 CB shims and one on passenger. 5160 on the rear with CB +3. Just this week I installed for him the 8 inch BA muffler. Powder coated the wheels. Tires are 285 65 18 Nitto Terra grappler G2

I removed front and rear front fender well mud flaps and did a BMC. Sorry I haven’t posted photos. Got the truck done a few days later I went out of town to get married then a few days later had an unexpected death in the family. I will get the before and after measurements and photos up by the weekend

What offset are the rims? You mentioned trimming just plastics/flaps? Any body mount trim or anything crazy? Looking at +25 offset with 285/70/18..I don't mind trimming plastics but not interested in cutting mounts and such. Thanks..

Just ordered my 6112 / 5160 from Toytec! Great service and provide a forum discount. For those of you who have put some mileage on this setup, how much has the front settled over time? I am starting with 1.9 up front an stock height in the rear.

I was planning on doing the 6112 @ 2.5" with 5160 in the rear and a toytec shackle @1.5", but now I see that coachbuilder recommends 2 shims on the driver side and one on the passenger? Why not just one on the passenger? Will I need to replace the UCAs if I do 2 shims on the driver side wit the 6112 at 2.5", or should I just order the 6112 @ 1.9" and follow coachbuilders recommendations?

If I was to do it again I would set mine at 1.9 and do the shims I did mine at 2.5 with shim and +2 CB shackles but dont like the minor lean

You mean 1 on just the driver side? I have mine set to 2.5” with one shim on driver side none on the passenger. I still had a 1/2” lean. I was going the 2 driver 1 passenger but decided to upgraded my UCAs to Icon delta joint and the lean is down to 1/8”. CB +3 (1.75” lift) in the rear. I still have a 1” rake.
