Very nice! Was that the more aggressive side wall facing out? Any trimming at all?

No trimming. I would consider this side wall a bit more gnarly than the other side.

Is the CB bumper spacer shim to correct the driver side lean?

The front bumper spacers are the two plates you see in picture 1. They are 1/2” each- 2 on each side that brings the bumper out 1” to help clear bigger tires.

I've removed the front bumper before to powder coat the ends, so I'm aware of the process. Question though, did you remove the plastic liner and any wiring connections when you put the shims in or were you able to do it by simply removing the bolts that hold the bumper on?

Got both sides loose then did 1 at a time. Was able to hold the bumper and slide the plates on and reattach. Just need to drop the tow hooks to get a good bite on the bumper bolts.

Finally got it clean after the install and subsequent off-roading last month.
1.9", 1 CB shim on driver's side, CB +2 shackles and 5160's in the back. Tires are 275/70 18 Nitto RG's. I did have to trim about an inch off each side of the stock "skid" plate for tire clearance.

Thanks. Guess that’s next on my list as I just installed 285/75/17’s with the 6112’s at 1.9 and a 1 CB shim on each side and I’m rubbing the front plastic even with the mud flap removed.

    Get this. I’m running a 18x9 +20 offset
And a 295/70/18. Even with the front bumper spacer and little front flaps removed, I was still rubbing! Didn’t want to get too crazy so I took the dremil and took out the sections that were in the way. A437C5C1-4EAC-43EE-980D-49013B3E3E97.jpgE642F8E7-ED44-43D2-BB38-ED09872C5DD8.jpg

I’m not sure I can dremmel it. I think it’s hitting the lower edge of the bumper end. Super frustrating. I did a lot of research. Lots of guys running the 18” version of my tire size with the same lift and no issues.

Yea kinda sucks but I was lucky it was minimal, I’m sure without the spacers I’d be real screwed. Funny thing was no rubbing at the tire shop then at home sounds like a machine gun getting into the drive way. Those icons look really good, sometimes we gotta pay to play.

Question for all...I have the Bilstein 6112 setup on my tundra and want to do the same to my 2016 4Runner. Where are you purchasing your 6112's and is there a recommendation for a shop that will ship and pre-assemble the coil-overs with top hats. It was a hassle assembling them on my tundra and want to avoid it this time. I'm seeing a price of $650 with no pre-assembly on Amazon.

It was so much. I would trim and it would rub, so on and so on. Thought about the heat gun but heard guys say it melted to fast. Thought about going to junk yard and finding one and try to shape w heat.

Looks pretty much perfect. Well done. Any issues at all with TSS system after install? Everything works good as it did before lift?

Been watching this thread for a while, just scheduled to have my 6112s installed on October 22nd, was just planning to go with the 1.3" setting as I travel a lot of highway and haul a lot of stuff in the bed of the truck and don't want to be nose high all the time. From all the pictures on here the 1.9" setting almost looks nose high unloaded. So planning 1.3", already have the 5100s installed in the rear already which were a huge improvement over the black stock shocks, sticking with stock 20" limited rims and will install 275/60r20 after the 6112s settle in. Hoping to keep it close to stock but better ride and slightly bigger tires. Will post pics early November when its all done.

Look forward to pics! I am hoping to have things ironed out for my build towards the end of November. The wheels and tires are the parts that are killing me.

    Hello all,
Recently just installed bilstein 6112 at 1.9 in the front and 5160 in the back. Local tire shop says the shocks is all I need to be installed. I noticed at the boss website there's other parts that are sold with the leveling kit. Should I be concern that I didnt install those other parts? 2013 tundra crewmax 4x4.
    TIA

That kit has a front diff drop which you don't need at your lift height. It has a carrier bearing drop for the rear which you don't need because the rear gained no height.

It also has bump stop extensions which might be nice but you probably do not need those either at 1.9

    A couple bump stop threads:
