I pulled the trigger on 6112’s and CB 2’s. I’m wondering if anyone is running this setup? If so, how’s the ride? I am planning to install it at the highest setting.

I spoke to David and he said the rear will be 1” higher and that’s exactly what I want as I haul a 8k toy hauler.

Ive heard great things about the 6112’s. Hard to beat for the value.
Might want to throw some jack stands under that truck...

I've got that setup, also with 5160s on the rear. I sit at 3/4inch of rake front to rear. As an added note I also have 1 CB shim on driver front to account for fuel tank lean.

    .....Welcome to the party!!

Lol! Thanks for the feed back! I was thinking the same thing. I dropped off my truck at the local tire shop and I had BFG’s ko2 installed. I was waiting for the truck to tip over.

I bought the 6112’s at 4wheelparts Redondo beach, they had one set in stock. I ended up paying $750 for the 6112’s installed, can’t beat that!

Thanks for the feed back guys! It’s awesome to have forums like this! Last go around with my 2016 CM, I just walked in to 4 wheelparts and was brained washed into pro comp black series coil overs. The truck drove like crap.

Thanks for the post @Firemanlouie it was great talking! This setup has been tried and test many many times with flawless results. The spring rate and valving from the 6112's is perfect for daily driving as well as off-road. With a few of our Coachbuilder shims and shackles for the rear you're able to dial in the stance and improve ride quality greatly. Enjoy Louie!!!

If anyone else needs a hand with their build Im always happy to help in any way. 801-635-4872

Here it is! All I need now is to install the CB shackles. I went with 6112 at the highest setting and 5160 in the rear. All I need now is the CB 2’s shackles and it will be complete... for now! Lol.

I am amazed with the smoothness of the ride. It’s night and day compared to the factory trd sport shocks.

Did you install the cb shims? Curious how much lift you ended up with in the front like that.

It’s awesome! Rides a lot smoother and has literally no roll on corners. I’ve had several pro comp, icon lifts before on tundras, Tacoma and GM, this by far has been the best and it’s 1/3 of the price of high end kits.

I just noticed it appears they installed the 6612’s at the second highest position? I’ve seen some on this forum and they show 3 rings when installed at highest Can anyone confirm?

Edit: I got that backwards! 5100’s have 3 grooves, while 6112’s have 4. Yours ARE set to the 1.9” mark.

Pretty sure you’re thinking 5100’s with 4 snap ring grooves total (3 exposed on highest position.

Also pretty sure the 6112’s only have 3 grooves total, so you’re high as *____. :D

    *Possible. Yeah.

Yes, those are at the 1.9 setting. I just installed mine at top setting 2 weeks ago, I ended up getting a bit over 3" lift on the frnt of my 18 dc 2wd. Have over 1k miles already and still a hair over 3 1/4" up front. Toytec shackles gave me 2" in rear instead of 1 1/2, truck has 1/2" rake.20180722_155911.jpg

Very controlled and smooth, so much so I went with michelin at 2 load range e instead of the bfg at's that I have run for 25 years. Didnt want to mess up the nice hiway ride and still have capability off road.

@Nm6300'asl- thanks for the info. Yes, they set them at the second setting 1.9”. I’m giving 4 wheelparts a call tomorrow. That’s what I get for being Lazy and not doing it myself! I have the ko2 at and they are getting noisy.

@Ace402-I had the icons on my Silverado 1500, comparing both trucks I think these 6112 handle a lot
Better onroad, I haven’t taken it off road yet.

The truck handles great, I just hope me going higher won’t compromise the ride.
    Oh well, it’s a Truck.

I just had mine installed at the 2nd (1.3) inch front lift. They are awesome way better than stock TRD Shocks. I tried them a little of road and the worked great.
