Actually the frame changed slightly in 2014. That's evinced by the elevated rear seats in the 14+. The OEM leafs from an '18 will work on a 10 though and vice versa.

I too have a pair of stock shackles I’d give you for free but I’m in Texas so it won’t help to get you back on the road.
The part you’re referring to on the bottom of the leaf spring is called a centering pin.
I would recommend loosening the U bolts on the opposite side so the whole axle can move around better and the centering pin will seat in the hole on the spring perch.

It’s all apart on both sides at the moment, I managed to stick the new leaf spring in the passenger side and loosely fit the 3 bolts but that’s it...

You’re a good man, but that’s not necessary, I’ll find some locally even if I have to purchase at the dealer...

I like hearing this. I couldn’t imagine going thru all this only to find they don’t fit. Still wonder why they’re listed as 2012+ tho...

I get y’alls notion that I may be a nancy when it comes to beating the living shit out of metal, as we don’t personally know one another, but I can assure you, I came to the conclusion that removing that bolt “ the friendly way” was a lost cause, so I got my big boy hammer out and beat the living hell out of it, like it stole my first born child, I didn’t care if it broke, I knew that it must be so badly corroded I wouldn’t wanna use it anyway. Trust me, it’s stuck and reusing would have been sketchy. me and my garage floor we’re rolling in pb blaster for over an hour. I got that gawd dam bolt so hot, it was scolding 30 min after giving up...I reinstalled the top bolt specifically so I could hammer the shit out of the lower one.

The chassis didnt change to elevate the seats, the cab is still the same in '14 , even same now. Only cosmetic sheet metal changes for fenders, 1/4 panels and tailgate.

Wrong. I just talked to Kibbetec about a bed cage for my long travel setup. It was for '07 to '13 I think. He's the one that told me the frame changed. Talking to my friends about this @Vizsla confirmed there in a minor change in 2014. Also, the spindles changed in 2016 and brake calipers from a '15 will not work on a '16

The cab never changed, the chassis is the same. Spindles, calipers, shock valving changes have nothing to do with the chassis.

None, leaf springs are a wear item and this happens every once in a while.

Yes, the bolt holes in the spindle are larger on 16 and up for the brakes...... don't ask me how I know.

I don’t think you’re a Nancy. I just know a bottle jack is stronger than me. I’m old and decrepit and have a torn rotator cuff.

You beat on that and mess the threads up you’re hosed.

U bolts are supposed to be a one time use item but I’d just check them several times for proper torque over the next week and you will be fine.

Op, any luck? I went out and looked at mine this morning and it looks like that stud/bolt is pressed into that shackle. If you heat up the shackle part and try to keep the bolt cool (wrap it w a wet rag) you might be able to knock that piece out easier. You’ll still have to cut the bolt though to get it off tho old leaf where it’s stick in that bushing sleeve.

Top of the morning gents! She’s all finished up...fuck ya, beer thirty! Thanks for all your help. She sits about a 1/2” taller and rides a bit firmer. I’m all in for $160, $120 for the 2018 leafs and $40 for the shackles. I upgraded to 2018 TRD sport shocks last year ($200), so this should complete the 2018 suspension upgrade, all for $360, lol.
