I have been looking through different builds and searching around for people with 5100's set at the top setting with 1 driver shim. My questions are...
    1. Is it a headache to get good alignment with stock uca?

    2. I want to fit 295/ 70 18's cooper stt pros with 3rd gen trd rims with 1.25 wheel spacers. If there is a good chance of issues with alignment can I go middle setting with driver shim and fit the tires?
-I know there could some trimming involved but don't want to get to crazy.

I have 305/65/18 with TRD Rims, 5100s front top setting, and 1" Bora Wheel Spacers. No issues with stock UCAs or alignment. I have the Coach Builder Shims but have not yet installed them. I plan on using two (1/4") for the driver's side and one for passenger side and 1.75" Shackles on the rear.

Btw, I just noticed when I turn the wheel all the way on reverse the front tired rubs slightly. I have BFG KO2s.

Thanks for the reply. So you still have stock uca? I'm kinda thinking the widder the tire it's going to have more rub potential.

You cut out the ] at the end of his quoted post.
It says [/QUOTE instead of [/QUOTE]

Looks like morning bump didn't help:help:
Basically I have used cooper STT pro's on 3rd gen rims and 1.25 spacers that I will put on after the installation of the 5100's. Didn't want to be spending more $$$ on uca's if I went with top setting with driver shim. If there's a good chance of alignment issues I will just go with middle setting with driver side shim. Of course there will be some fitment tinkering but hopefully not much.

Anyone with this set up of top or middle setting with driver shim fitting 295 70 18's?

Eventually I will be going with 285 75's Geolandar /a/t g015. Tire comes out 34.7 and 11 wide so I can do away with spacers. Any feedback would be appreciated :)

Good tire choice. I think I will be trying those for my next set.
