I keep mine in a ziploc inside of an oil pan, inside of a plastic bag lol. Also learned my lesson to not try to clean them. Just purge with what ever fluid I'm using next.

No, sir. We have it listed as a "tool required" to complete the install.

Yeah, as mentioned, separately provided. Not sure why I thought of it last night while I was half asleep.

What a pia bolt lol. Definitely helps to have various types of 13mm wrenches. Swivel ratcheting wrench did great on the rear. Used like three different types on the front one. Fully tighten it with a short regular 13mm wrench. Couldn't really get anything else to bite

    Got ‘er installed

I tow a small 17’ boat, nothing too heavy, planning on keeping this tundra for a very long time, so I’m looking forward to many miles and years of a happy cool transmission

I have a 2020 with both the Genuine Cooling kit and the Stillen. My original deflector was already cut up to accommodate the S/C intercooler pump and the transmission cooler lines so I just traced the opening for the Stillen duct. I used a rotary tool, tin snips and file to shape the opening.

Great question. Stillen provides you with a new shroud with an opening for the hoses. Instead of drilling the two holes for the hoses, both hoses will pass through the one hole in the Stillen shroud. If abrasion is a concern, I can send you some spiral hose protection just in case, just put it in the order notes if you do place an order.

My original deflector was already modified before installing the Stillen.

I did look at installing the Stillen deflector but I suspect it would only allow one transcooler hose through without creating a restriction and I would still have to butcher it to allow for the intercooler pump hoses to pass through.

I didn't want to uninstall the trans cooler hoses so I just cut a hole in the factory shroud for the stillen air inlet. Easy peasy

That’s interesting… Toyota must have programmed it to set off at 260F in their latest ECU version.

TBH I’m not sure. That headunit only has one transmission option. I was just assuming it was the pan. I’ll see if I can find out.

If that is your pan , your torque converter is the one that most likely hit the 302 mark which triggered the alarm , I would look into the option of displaying your tc as well

Last wkend we went exploring in the hills. A couple miles of slowly driving up this hill in 4HI had the pan at 220°F. Certainly glad I had the cooler!
