No idea. Thankfully, I've not had any issues with mine but then again mine is not a daily driver.

Sounds like it's not bypassed correctly?

running like 8psi of boost but when it hits around 8 that’s when it wants to backfire

The TRD or the Magnuson topped out at 7psi... My guess is that it is modded and not tuned accordingly.

What gas are you putting in? It needs minimum 91 preferably 93.

You need to take it to a supercharging tuner (Magnuson.com has a installer finder tool) and have it plugged into the computer. It could be so many different issues that you need the tuner to PinPoint or you’ll spend weeks unnecessarily changing parts.

What happens if you start the truck and it warms up and then you clear the code? Does the code come back while it's running?

How many miles? Plugs were changed?
Does it really have the oem supercharger tune in Ecu?
    Check the calibration number .
Some installed sc’s and ran them on the stock tune.

    Tastefully enhanced...
Also a SC'd member...your timing sounds like it might need a finer tune...what fuel do you typically use?

I am VERY happy with my OVTune for what it's worth...it blends a safe tune with an optimized TCU tune that works well together...

I’ve been running straight up 93 since I got it I thought it maybe have been low octane cause when I got it I ran 89 in it by mistake

To reiterate I would try to fix the code and start there, see if there's something wrong with the IAP bypass you have. There's nothing wrong with the TRD tune in my experience which sounds like what you have. There's an obvious issue of having a CEL, I would fix that first.

Reason I was asking about the smoke is if your plugs are worn. They can jump the gap and lower cylinder pressures/low throttle, but once you get on it it can't jump the gap and it starts to miss. Which can feel like it's pulling power. That's all I got... Good luck man.
