5.7 motor mounts

I have felt like a jolt or kick and i asked my mechanic friend about ut and he asked me to check on a recall for motor mounts. I thought it was going to be my transmission messing up but he said it sounds more like my mounts. Thats why im here, could this jolt that i feel be the fact that my engine mounts are messing/messed up?

 

Very likely, especially if you have offroaded your truck. The factory mounts wear out quick. Other option could be a bad carrier bearing (driveshaft center support bearing)

Anyone have any feedback on these? Good bad or ugly? Curious how much bang for your buck and if any lasting side effects.

 

Nearly everyone I know who runs their truck hard off road has upgraded to these mounts. I've seen several broken, and or, worn out OEM mounts come off of the same trucks.

 

Thanks man! You’ve got a badass rig. I’m guessing my idea of hard off-roading is not quite as hard as yours.

 

Way more ugly (and expensive) side effects by staying with the stock ones.

One question, any info on a transmission mount for the 2-2.5 gen?

 

Finalizing the design with my laser cutter/programmer but it will be early next year. There have been a few errors and mis-comunnication in the design that are slowing progress.

 

You have any solid motor mounts available to ship?
