Just throw this out there. Do most of us use the 4wd enough to keep parts lubed up. Owner's manual states to operate on semi regular basis. I will during winter, but the suburbs dont offer anything other than cutting across a golf course during rush hour. What say you?

A little of this and a little of that.
I try to go out 4x4’n at least once per month. Sometimes I don’t make it that often.

Living in Las Vegas the roads get super slippery right when it first rains (it only rains a few times per year), when this happens I usually will throw it into 4 HI and slide around a little bit just to lube things around. I don’t know if this is bad or not but that’s what I do.

I try to do 10 miles a month in 4WD and a quick up and down in 4L.
Just drive straight, throw it in 4WD where/when you can. Do not make turns on dry roads in 4WD. You will bind the drivetrain.

Yes, I never drive on dry pavement in 4 wheel so I don’t mess anything up.

You can drive on dry pavement, just not turn without binding.

    Good to know. Thank you.

Can you also drive in 4LO on pavement as long as you don’t turn your wheels??
